Not such a good showing for predictions in week 6, going 6-7. That puts PPYA at 43-28 for weeks 2-6 (no week one since there were no stats for rankings yet). That's .606, or 14th on the King Kaufman Panel O' Experts. This week hurt.
Definitely alot of upsets in week 6, but I am happy that PPYA predicted Detroit's win over Buffalo. And some of those upsets I don't know how anyone could have picked them. Tennessee over Washington? Giants over Falcons? Cincy getting beat by freaking Tampa Bay?
Oh, and I was right last week. KC is dropping ever week from their peak in the Top Ten a couple weeks ago. if you think the rankings are crazy just remember this is looking purely at their aggregate (offense and defense) points per yard performance for the year. There's no tweaking or opinionating. This diary explains the system.
On to the rankings!

Biggest Upgrade: Dallas, +8 spots. This could be another example of a team getting skewed due to a blowout win. They're top 10, but not top 5 in my opinion. But that's why I do this - to leave out opinion.
Biggest Downgrade: Tie, Kansas City down 8 spots to #19 and Houston down 8 spots to #26.
Highest Ranked Loser (current ranking): #7 Philadelphia lost to #15 New Orleans
Lowest Ranked Winner (current ranking): #28 Tennessee beat #22 Washington
Negative Line: #16 Pittsburgh (0.00109), #17 Arizona (-0.00004)
Definitely some interesting things in this week's rankings.
*Dallas shot up 8 spots for their blowout of Houston. Yet another reason to add strength of schedule to this thing.
*Chicago's margin over #2 San Diego really fell after their close win over Arizona.
*Denver's strength is really starting to show in PPYA, up to a deserved #5.
*Philly lost and fell 3 spots but is still in teh top 10, while New Orleans beat them but fell a spot from #14 to #15. Not really sure why that happened. it's not a matter of other teams passing them either. They fell because idle Cleveland moved over them as well. Would anyone who watch that game be able to shed some light on their performance?
*Pittsburgh's shellacking of KC helped them recover 7 spots up to #16.
*It's nice to see Arizona get rewarded in the rankings despite their tough, close loss to the Bears.
*Super Oddity Of The Week: Buffalo lost to Detroit. Buffalo move dup a spot and Detroit moved down 4 spots. Again, anyone watch this game? Did detroit just get lucky? Score on alot of turnovers? what happened here?
*Oakland still sucks. Big time.
Week 7 Games:
#16 Pittsburgh @ #11 Atlanta
#6 New England @ #20 Buffalo
#18 Carolina @ #10 Cincinnati
#2 San Diego @ #19 Kansas City
#29 Green Bay @ #30 Miami
#24 Detroit @ #21 New York Jets
#7 Philadelphia @ #25 Tampa Bay
#3 Jacksonville @ #26 Houston
#5 Denver @ #13 Cleveland
#22 Washington @ #8 Indianapolis
#17 Arizona @ #32 Oakland

#23 New York Giants @ #4 Dallas
"Upsets" I see coming already: Miami over Green Bay, Giants over Cowboys, Pittsburgh over Atlanta
I'll try to post comments on game day as to how the rankings are doing but I'm going to be out of town so it might not happen until Monday or Tuesday
