Pro Bowl- Who should go

Peyton Manning, Marvin Harrison, Reggie Wayne, Jeff Saturday, and Tarik Glenn should all be in the Pro Bowl. Ogden will get in over Glenn, but we all know how friggin' stupid that is.

Pro Bowl selections are today on NFL Network, 4pm EST. Kirkendall at Cincy Jungle has a preview.

Update [2006-12-19 16:29:7 by BigBlueShoe]: All those listed above got in. Glenn is indeed starting over Ogden, which is good. Philip Rivers was selected over Tom Brady (which was silly in my opinion). Tony Romo was also picked.

Romo was also a no brainer
how can the qb with the highest qb rating in the conference not be voted in? The only qb in the NFC that was better is Drew Brees.

Congrats to all the Colt players, all very deserving as well.

OH COME ON
Even you can't believe that. If we're going to pick someone who has only played 1/2 the season, then it should be Hasselback.

Romo played much better than Hasselbeck
this isn't 2005, its 2006, big difference in his game from last season.

What about McNabb
He has better numbers than Romo, and has played in less games.

McNabb's overrated
Garcia is actually better and thats being proven by his record since McNabb went down. If McNabb doesn't get hurt I don't think Philly has a chance to make the playoffs.

also
McNabb is out with a torn ACL so he couldn't play anyway and would have to be replaced if voted in so selecting him in the first place wouldn't make any sense.

Yeah but
By your definition of "outplaying," McNabb has "outplayed" romo in the same amount of games.

John Henderson...
What a snub.  John's been the best at the posistion all year, he held the line when Stroud was out and bam...nothing.

Even Joe Greene says he's the best out there.

Congrads on the Colt's guys, though I bet they'd rather play the week before...

I agree
Henderson is a beast. A lot of guys get hosed though. Terence Newman is the best cover guy in the NFC and he doesn't get in. It happens to a lot of players.

Barber
R. Barber is far and away better than Terrence Newman.

you're on drugs
Newman is a shut down corner, I've seen Barber get beat like a drum many, many times. Its not even close. I didn't see your two pro bowlers beat him.

Harper should be...
at least talked about as being snubbed. This guy blankets receivers everyweeek. Although he doesn't have the INT numbers, the guy simply takes out the other team's best reciever.

romo
i know the nfc is weak at qb with mcnabb out and hasselbeck having missed a few games (and not playing exceptionally well), but sending romo, who has played only half a a season, seems premature.  i also know the media is in love with him and his story makes for great things on espn, but we should at least be a little objective: half a season does not indicate that a qb or any player deserves pro-bowl honors. hell,  you could erase the bad grossman from memory and put together his early season stride with his last two games and have about half of a more pro-bowl deserving season than romo's (romo who looked less than good in a few games that the cowboys won and just pitiful in their last loss).  kudos do  go out to both ware and williams from the cowboys though.

Romo's been much more consistent than Grossman
and Romo never played bad in any games in whihc the Cowboys won, if he was, the Cowboys would have never won those games as the Cowboys defense has actually started regressing over the past several weeks. Romo's the reason the Cowboys are 9-5, Bears defense is the reason the Bears are 12-2, not Grossman.

garcia/mcnabb
i think that might be a bit unfair terry.  garcia is getting up there in age, and there is a very real possibility that had he started the season or had mcnabb been injured earlier, garcia would be showing fatigue or be injured by now.  he isn't better than mcnabb, but he's giving the philly offense a damn good chance to take the division, which they may do against your gunslingers this weekend.  that's going to be a good game.
