Lance Briggs is going to be a free-agent if the Bears don't resign him. If we could pick him up, it would be a massive lift to our defense playing behind a healthy Simon(hopefully). Granted, the front office does not have much cap to work with. I would rather see them let a few players go during free-agency and pick up Lance Briggs.

He has 125 tackles, a sack, and two interceptions. That would be a huge upgrade over Gardner/Morris. Or if we keep Cato June, we could move him to WLB and Briggs could play his regular SLB position. Lance has played for the Bears for several years. They run a Cover-2 defense, just like the Colts.

It would be a huge signing if the Colts make this move. They would have to find a way, with the cap in disarray like it is. Polian and Co. need to fix this defense. We can't win the Superbowl with this team on defense.
