Mungro done for season

Well, I spoke to soon when I said the Seattle game didn't result in any key injuries. James Mungro (short yardage back, goal line back, special teams ace) is done for the year with a torn ACL. Ugh.

Replacing Mungro will not be easy. I actually thought that TJ Duckett would work as an option, but Atlanta just traded him to Washington as part of a three-team-deal with Denver.

Mungro was a contributor to the offense, and he is yet another loss to the Colts special teams coverage.

More Vinatieri
Peter King spreading rumors .. or is he? Looks like Vinatieri may be worse than the Colts are saying:

King
King looks like he's just trying to stir something up. Polian says he expects Vinatieri to kick in the opener. The doctors have told him that.

I assume Vinatieri will be out there. With ankle injuries, precaution is key. It was a given Vinatieri was done for the pre-season. We know what he can do. Let Andrus kick it around for awhile.

I'm more concerned about replacing Mungro.

UH OH!
A healthy Mungro was one of the reasons I made that bet.   I am not wimping out.  The bet still stands but now I feel vulnerable.

LOL
The absence of Mungro means more Kory Chapman, not necessarily more Addai.

Not the case...
Less running backs around more carries for everyone else.

On short yardage
On short yardage and goal line I think he will.
