PPYA Power Rankings Week 2

Sorry for the lateness. There was a tiny change in the NFL stats page code that broke my script and I wasn't able to get it fixed until late last night. But we're all ready now. Read this diary to know what this is all about and explain the stats.

Once again you'll have to scroll down because the site doesn't seem to like tables in diaries.

The Colts got hurt by the points they gave up in the 4th quarter, dropping their defensive points per yard.

Buffalo?! Hm. Now that's interesting

Oakland is jut bad. Reallllly bad.

This highlights one of the drawbacks of this ranking. Baltimore's Offensive ranking of #2 (vs. their Offensive Yards ranking of #24) is probably due to their great defensive giving the offense very good field position and the offense taking advantage and scoring, driving up their points score per yard. I think the same thing is happenign with Buffalo. but a team should be rewarded in rankings for takign advantage of good field position.

The only thing to really talk abotu here is Indy's drop from last week's top ten ranking. I really think that 4th quarter hurt the Colts in the ranking.

Oh, and Oakland's D is horrible. They are giving up almost .1 points for every yard they give up.

Today's Games:
#27 Tennessee (-.03037) @ #29 Miami (-.033)
#9 Jacksonville (.01361) @ #7 Indianapolis (.02047)
#25 Washington (-.02891) @ #20 Houston (-.00712)
#28 Green Bay (-.03146) @ #30 Detroit (-.04025)
#19 NY Jets (-.00359) @ #6 Buffalo (.02742)
#22 Carolina (-.00891) @ #31 Tampa Bay (-.04751)
#3 Cincinnati (.03374) @ #14 Pittsburgh (.00382)
#3 Chicago (.05891) @ #18 Minnesota (-.00207)
#2 Baltimore (.06438) @ #17 Cleveland (-.00202)

#21 Denver (-.00734) @ #11 New England (.00916)
#5 Atlanta (.02843) @ #15 New Orleans (.00327)

I'll try to keep this updated by making the winner in bold, to see how well this holds up.

After the day games, PPYA is 8-6. Not so good, hm? A TON of road teams won this week. In fact, only four home teams won.

I am headed to the game today. I'm VERY worried about this game, especialyl given our injury situation. VERY VERY worried.
