Stokley Returns...

I have to say, I was extremely disappointed in the RCA Dome crowd on Sunday.  I was kind of eager to see Stokley return to the Dome, but I didn't anticipate the crowd reaction.  Every time he touched the ball, the crowd booed.  What the hell did Stokley do to any of them besides get hurt and then CUT from the team?  He never said anything bad while he was here, or when he was released.  He was always a professional, and was a part of the most memorable offensive season in Colts history.  He caught number 49 for God's sake!!!!

If you don't like Stokley, then I don't think you really like the Colts.  It's a business, and if you think Stokley would rather be playing with Jay Cutler than Peyton Manning, well you're an idiot.

yeah
I thought that was a pretty crappy reaction by the crowd. Don't understand it at all.

Explanation
Some guy called into The Drive with JMV, and said that people started booing b/c Stoke gave Morris a forearm after a play was over.

ok
I don't see what the big deal is.  He's not on our team, and had nothing to do with us winning the Super Bowl.

Stokley's 04 stat line. Peyton doesn't throw 49 TDs without the best slot receiver in the league.

well
There is no doubt about that, but there is no way to say how valuable he was to the Super Bowl.  He was on the roster, and contributed during the season that we won the SB.  No one is saying that winning the SB isn't important, but it's nice to show a little respect for the players that helped you get to where you're at now.

Well yeah.  I don't honestly think anyone in Indy hates Stokley.  However, there's no need to treat him like royalty either.  He's on an opposing team now, and was playing us at home.  I don't see anything wrong with giving him a little shit, I don't he takes it personally.  I don't understand everyones infatuation with having to be super nice to everyone in the NFL.
