Shoot Me Now...

Update [2007-11-20 0:9:8 by BigBlueShoe]: Promoted from diaries: This made me LOL. --BBS

Why do they let Kornheiser speak during MNF?  He just claimed that "nobody has heard of [Jeff] Fisher but everybody has heard of [Mike] Shannahan."

What?  WHAT?

Why can't I watch the Titans lose in peace?  Although I hate to cheer for the Broncos, I will... cause I hate the Titans more.

PS- Don't ya love using the diaries to b*tch and moan?  I do!

Front Paged!!!
I made the big time now!  :D

Don't get me started about that football coverage at MNF.  They would show the crowd, then a coach picking his nose, then the crowd again, a player talking on the sidelines... then BAM you get the field shot two seconds before the snap.  Only Mike Shannahan has better pre-snap timing (and oh how funny was it that his field goal timeout backfired on him???)

It really makes me love the no-huddle offense.  The cameras have no choice but to stay focused on the field.  How can you try to be a student of the game if they don't let you see formations or coverages?

The game was alright though... the Broncos aren't as good as they looked and the Titans aren't as bad as they looked.

Go Colts!

I always said...
That timeout thing is going to backfire.  Someone's going to miss a fieldgoal and then they'll make it on the 2nd chance.

At this point, the Kicker is already expecting a timeout so I'd think the best thing to do would be to just let the play go.

What if they can actually ice him by not calling a time out?

Korny
Kornheiser is horrific. An absolute train wreck. He tries to form a narrative about the game from drive-to-drive. Everything is meaningful, every catch implies some huge metaphor about the team, the season, the legacy, every third down stop indicates some larger thing about the team, instead of, you know, that they made a good throw or a good stop on 3rd and short.

Seriously, the guy wrote a biography about Vince Young last night.

why i don't watch MNF
the idiots they have had through the booth the last few years is why i don't watch MNF unless the colts are playing.

what is it with ABC/ESPN and the people they are manning the booth with?  if you are trying to attract more people to football putting morons in the booth and bringing in celebrities who have little to do with sports is not the way to go about it.. you might bring in a few more non football people but the real fanbase will be turning you off in disgust.
