Whither Marvin?

So, what actually happened to Marvin? The brainless commentators blamed his fumble on rust - which may make some sense, but what happened to him after that? Why was Aroshmadu starting in his spot? Why didn't we ever line up with Reggie as #2 and Gonzo as #1? Was BBS right, should Marvin have been IR'd long ago?

I agree
Marvin should have been IR'ed months ago. Also, and I hate to kick Marvin when he is down, but Marvin has really never played well in the playoffs unless it was against Denver.

I think...
We may be hearing an announcement in the next month regarding Marvin's retirement. Just a feeling.

Don't get me wrong, I don't WANT him to retire.  I want the old Marvin back, you know, the impossible-catching, foot-dragging-on-the-way-out-of-bounds, catch-the-ball-and-lie-down-Marvin.

Check it to pancakes! Pancakes!

Lord ...
I hope not. I think he's a competitor, and we won't see any retirement announcement soon. I'd guess he'd do it before the beginning of the season ... after he's seen if he has a chance to get back in it.

I wonder...
if his fumble had anything to do with that charger diving for his knees when he went into that spin move?

Like it reinjured and the pain caused the fumble?  Just thinking out loud...

Yeah
Thats what I was thinking, maybe the spin was just too much for his knee at that time, I sure hope he is ok.

eh
I don't think he is going to retire.  He just needs a while to rehab his knee is all.
Go Colts!

it's coming sometime soon
if you look at the receivers in his draft class, they are falling away rather quickly. Keyshawn being the biggest of them so far. I think if not now then next year.

hmm
He is only going into his 13th season.  So he isn't that old.  I honestly think it all depends on how severe this knee injury was to be honest.  If it's going to be a nagging injury for the rest of his career, I could understand.  But the thought of Marvin hangin 'em up is just really saddening.
Go Colts!

It'll be like losing
Reggie Miller all over again. Man that was a tough time in my life. I don't look forward to it happening again.

What a great way to frame it ...
I'm going to really miss Marvin when he retires. I hope they bring him back, and I hope he keeps his step.
