Lucas Oil Stadium

I do not know if anyone here reads Pacers forums.  I know I do not normally, but I happened to stumble across these pictures of Lucas Oil Stadium.  They are fairly recent, so I do not know if anyone else has seen them.  Hopefully these pictures can take some of the pain and disgust of Sunday away, and start building the excitement for the new stadium next year.

Here's the link to the forum with the pictures:

This is a FanPost and does not necessarily reflect the views of Stampede Blue's writers or editors. It does reflect the views of this particular fan though, which is as important as the views of Stampede Blue's writers or editors.

Indeed
I do part time work as a PA for the Pacers on network game days, and I drive past this thing at least a half dozen times a night. It's massive. Huge. Enourmous. Maybe even ginormous.

My best friend the architect originally panned the design, saying it was totally out of date and hated it. He did a construction tour a few weeks ago and came back with a totally new opinion. From what he said, it's going to be a phenomenal place to watch anything.

With the Dome going down and the Lube going up, Indianapolis has it's new crown jewel.

Sound
I haven't read much about it... Have they already installed the machine that pumps in the artificial crowd noise? Or is it too early in the construction?

Yeah ...
we should get a bigger one. 'Cause cheating is such a Colts thing to do.

Link
I already posted this link on a different thread, but this one seems more appropriate.                                                                                        http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QHQTcFQEMXo

Lucas
That's awesome!  Thanks for the pics. It's one thing seeing an "artists rendering" but when you can see the actual thing...wow!  I can't wait for August!

This year should be a little different...I went to the Bears preseason game this past August, and there was hardly anybody there (only half the seats were filled). What do you want to bet that the Lucas Oil Stadium is PACKED for it's very first game??

Check it to pancakes! Pancakes!
