Open Thread - Late Games and SNF

I'll be flipping back and forth between Broncos-Jaguars and Cowboys-Cardinals.  Here's hoping for lots of rushing TDs for Denver and TO catches for the Cowboys.

And maybe some exciting endings like the early games:

  • Texans running a QB Draw on 4th and 2 to win
  • GW FGs by Falcons, Rams and Vikings.
  • Manning throwing more TDs to Harrison.

Cardinals take opening kickoff for TD

7-0 early

Also, Fred Taylor fumbles already down 7-0. Good things already.

Congrats

On absolutely crushing Baltimore.

And did any of you see the Falcons game? One of the best I’ve seen in quite a while.

How much did you pay Lovie for that Squibb on a silver platter?

BTW, it was fun having you post on the WCG game thread. Civil rivalries make for good football.

We all ponied up

…And gathered $3.50. You’ll see him at Taco Bell after the game.

Seriously, though, it was a hell of a game. Glad you guys didn’t tear me to shreds at WCG!

Cross blogging seems much more civil this year.

I’m all for light-hearted smack talk prior to a game, but last year there was quite a bit of genuine nastiness out there. Dunno if the various blog chiefs straightened out their worst offenders or what, but it’s a big improvement!

living in dallas

as a colts fan… i still want to see the cowboys win…. it is so annoying around here with all the overreaction to a loss and overreaction to TO after a loss…. makes it unbearable to even listen to the radio…

I wouldn't die if the Cowboys pulled the win

as long as the Cards still cover +5.5. I picked Cowboys win, Cards cover.

have the gags ever gone a game without the benefit of an awful call that gives them a first down on a 4th down play when the call is so undeniabley bad and then changes the game completely. middle of the 3rd. 17-10 regme williams lays out a bronco and the bronco guy gets a pass interference call. much like the colts ending only regme doesnt just run into a colt not moving but pushes a defender to the ground….who the hail made that call. he needs to be taken to the back of the woodshed. when are these refs going to be accountable for the crap? that call changed the entire game. unreal. every game they get this unbelievable gift call to aid them. I want to see them get screwed at the end of the game just ONCE to see how it feels.

Eagles kick a FG on 4th and 1 on the 10 yard line

with 1:10 to play. To give them a 7 point lead. SF had no timeouts. The line was PHI -4.5

but I don’t want it going to OT, because a Cowboys TD in OT blows the cover.

They were blowing the whistle though

The interior of the Dallas line could have just quit blocking, thus making it an easy block.

Still tough to swallow.

If the Cowboys score a TD

I’m going to be pissed.

The Cards coaches didn’t notice that one of their players was laying on the ground injured 30 yards behind the LOS. They could have instead used the TO to make Folk kick it from 58 yards.

He actually only lost 3 points by not playing Peyton (stupid Rodgers).

I have Brandon Jacobs tomorrow. I feel pretty confident.

if he had started Marvin over Hank Baskett and he improve his chances if he realizes he started a TE on a bye.

But if the season ended today, the #2 and #3 seeds in the NFC would the Cardinals and Falcons.
