Omg I bought the dome.

So I don't know how many of you guys, if any, did this, but back when I first heard about the Colts selling parts of the RCA dome, I immediately bought a little piece.

I am very poor, and could only afford the cheapest thing; the $10 little container of rubber turf filler.  Now, it is only my pure naive Colts homerism that convinced me to buy this piece of memorabilia, which they really could have scooped from anywhere and I wouldn't know the difference.

But to be honest, I dont care.  I live in California and unless I become rich, I will never be able to go see a Colts home game in my life.  I definitely won't get to see the RCA dome now.  SO even this little pile of possibly fraudulent turf filler, which has finally come in the mail today, has got me Super Super pumped.

I guess the reason for me posting this is to see if anyone else did this, if only to validate my nagging feelings of consumer-skepticism/remorse.

I'm sure they have this on Colts.com

But I’m really lazy. Have a link?

If you somehow prove to me that you are poor (you don’t have to show me W-2s) and I will GIVE you tickets to a Colts home game.

I share season tickets with two other guys and we all live in Chicago. Needless to say, we make it to almost all the games but it is impossible.

Transportation and lodging is on you, but the tickets would be on me.

Reason: I was poor once…. but I have always been a Colts fan and I will die one.

lol no fair!

If I had a way to take time off and make it to Indy I would totally fight you Endo for a shot at those tickets, lol.

Um, would you ever be willing to sell them? Just one game that is.

We Colts fans did not pay $720 million dollars in public funds to build a brand new stadium that will get opened on Sunday Night Football by Jim Friggin Sorgi.

That's Class!

Although, I’m not a Colts fan, I’ve had a similar experience when my friend gave my 2nd son and I two box suite tickets last year to a game in Jacksonville against your beloved Colts. I live in Pa, but it was a class act gesture by him. It’s great to see the humanity of the fans for other fans in a crazy and chaotic world.

Levante

You are a prince among men. If i ever do stumble onto tickets and hotel faire i might take you up on that. Fortunately for you (and MarkFive), i am still poor. haha

But thanks man. What other fan base would reach out to each other so warmly? It does me proud. Go Colts!!

Endo...

Keep me posted. I stand by what I wrote….. I’m telling you, I remember not being well off at all. Through hard work, I can consider myself mildly blessed to have season tix. To many that’s something that is taken for granted. I don’t take them for granted, but I’m willing to put a smile on someone that is a true Colts fan.

Obviously, I would go to the big games and the games that fit my schedule myself, but if you ever reach out to me ahead of time (like in the summer) we can work it out.

Yes, King Richard… I can also sell tickets.

A great guy

How many teams can say they have the best fan base? but when one fan offers another a set of tickets for a game because he recognizes another individuals love for a team!!! Good on you Levante….

I think that's awesome!

I probably won’t ever see a Colts home game, the best I can do is go to San Diego…I can understand your pain, my friend. That said, I choose to believe that the rubber is real because the Colts organization is a Class Act.

And, Levante, you ROCK!

Go Colts!!!!

April in CA

I was born in Indianapolis and lived half my life in Muncie

Know I live in Florida. I go back to Indiana every summer/winter to see my father. I went to the last game in the Dome and have gone their many times. I’ ve not yet been to a game in Lucas Oil Stadium. I loved the Dome. My dad says its deppressing driving by the deflated Dome. We need to win one in Lucas because I’m starting to believe its cursed.

Makes me proud

I’m a bit too young (keyword: BIT) to feel the same sense of nastalgia about The Dome as you all do, but I really love the sense of comraderie among fellow Indy fans. The earliest memory I have of Indy, and one reason I live and will die a fan, is driving 12 hours from our then home in WAstate to Marion, IN only to drive down to Indianapolis the next day to catch a practice.. My uncle took me up to the ropes as they were leaving the stadium, and I was clapping and cheering and acting an idiot as a 6 or 7 year old. He says that Harbaugh (can’t remember names or faces) smiled, walked up, and autographed a penant (which still hangs above my bed). Idk what it was about hearing that story, or just catching all the blogs and seeing how awesome you guys are, but I’ve never been more impressed in my 20 years than by the candor and pride Colts fans have. Keep it up!
