Around SBN: New York Giants Super Bowl XLVI Ring Unveiled

MNF Open Thread (NE-DEN)

Big game both in terms of the AFC powerstructure and for my fantasy teams.

Need 30+ from Cutler to beat DZ and stay undefeated in the 18to88 league and Welker and Prater to stay under 12 combined points for a win in the Shakedown League. Both is a massive longshot and neither is pretty likely, but just one is what I expect and hope for.

Yay Football!

If I'm understanding this correctly

Coaches don’t do well without good quarterbacks.

Thanks, Tony.

I really think the Patriots are going to play well

I’m not convinced they are as bad as they have looked against Miami and San Diego.

Denver’s defense might be the perfect cure.

i need

moss to get 70 yards or 10 yards and a touchdown (i.e. 7 fantasy points) to win. also please dont let kevin faulk run all over the place.

WOW

that’s a massive fail on the 30 points

Cutler almost came out of the game, twice now for a hand injury

Forgot I'm rooting for the Pats on that loose ball

have them against the spread and straight up.

Rooting against the Pats is going to be a hard habit to break tonight.

I was upset the Pats recovered the fumble

then realized I want them to win. Though I might have to start actually taking wild card standing into account in my rooting interests soon. Ewwww.

“Brett Farve can lose all his arms and legs and would be the best torso in footbal”
“If the QB throws the ball into the inzone its a touchdown”

How odd is it that a guy with the last name of Mayo

Has the stickiest hands?

After the talk about Bailey not being thrown at I think it's relevent to mention

Nnamdi Asomugha for the Raiders has had 8 passes thrown at him in 7 games.

Just a quick thought

Is there one comentator out there that pulls for the Colts or Manning?

by colts9318rock on Oct 20, 2008 9:23 PM EDT reply actions

Manning gets a pretty solid verbal fellation from most game announcers

commentators don’t seem to like the Colts

that's probably a good way to tell how well a Front Office

evaluates pro players. How many guys that they cut or don’t resign that go on to play well or over/underperform their FA contracts.

Fair point

I think that was a great trade for both teams

Welker is tremendously valuable in a high powered offense that keeps him matched up on a nickelback over against a zone D. The Dolphins couldn’t do that so they got a good pick for him and the Pats got a hugely valuable piece.

Cutler has about no points

I’m giving up on that team this week.

Link for anyone that didn’t get the Hollaman reference
(Warning, the song is very obscene) For those that do listen “G-reg” is Bears TE Greg Olsen, Big Beast is Panthers LB Jon Beason, “Hollaman” is Brandon Meriweather who got the pick.
