Sim Leagues
I know several users on here are already a part of Goal Line Blitz but how many have heard of My Football Sim? Maybe we could get enough teams together from Colts fans and form a league.
I am also looking for something more like this: http://boards.buffalobills.com/forumdisplay.php?f=16
Does anyone know of an NFL GM Sim league similar to the above? If not, would anyone be interested in forming a league?

congrats..
Let’s hope he gets to see the colts win the superbowl… My last one came december 2006 and I figured he had to be a colts fan, since he always seemed to sleep through the games and let mom watch..

thank you
he hasn’t exactly seen much if any good football. Between watching our Vols getting regularly whipped and the Colts playing like they are, I’m glad he’s too “new” to remember any of this.

Yeah, huh.
What the heck is up with the Vols, anyway?

Simply
lack of coaching.
Eric Berry for Heisman!
5 Interceptions, 1 for TD.
(10 and 2 over his brief career)
25 tackles, 2 sacks
I know this is preposterous but hey, Charles Woodson didn't deserve it either!

My sig has a better Heisman Candidate
so HA.
The jokes are pretty similar in type and quality.
Shonn Greene for Heisman
144 yards per game
6.5 yards per carry
08 TDs per game > 06 GPA

yeah
but seriously, I know Greene just kind of burst on the scene but what kind of pro potential does he have. I honestly don’t know much about him other than he’s been running wild all season.
Oh, and please beat Illinois and Penn State. I can’t stand Ron Zook and you’re more likely to find me wearing a Woodson jersey than rooting for PSU.

he burst onto the scene because he was "not with the team" last year
due what is referred to in the last line of my sig. I loved him as a college back but was down on him as a pro for most of the year, but he’s finally gotten into shape (showed up for fall practice over 240lbs, he’s 5-11). Up until the last few weeks he would get caught from behind every single time he got into the second level. He was getting run down by college LBs. His long before the Wisconsin game was 35.
Last Saturday he finally showed breakaway speed breaking off a 50 yarder and outrunning DBs. That gave me some confidence he could be more than a goalline back in the pros. He runs HARD and has some great vision. Once he gets a bit a momentum and turned upfield he’s very hard to stop. Arm tackles are worthless on him. He has the Edge James “always fall forward” and “gain at least 4-7 yards on nearly every carry” traits for sure. I have no idea how much faster he’ll get as he keeps working out. If he gets fast enough that he can go east-west without it killing the run he’ll be great.
They don’t throw him the ball often and I have no memories of how he blocks. The shitty grades and total failure to keep himself in shape in his year off is a bit troubling for a team that would want to invest in him. He’s also left a couple games hurt. When you put big hits on guys you take some damage.
Averaging that kind of YPC with only a handful of runs over 30 yards is amazing.

Charles Woodson DIDN'T deserve it!
I just saw that line – funny.

for real
not to sound bitter, because it’s really old but Woodson’s numbers weren’t that great. He was merely a product of the espn/big 10 hype machine. Good player? of course he was but he wasn’t the best collegian playing that year. Michigan had a better season so they gave it to the best player on a national title bound team.

I'm a converted Michigan fan.
Was still one back then, but I knew good and well that Peyton got ripped off that year. The Michigan homers who insist Woodson deserved it are the same ones who suddenly love the Patriots and believe that Tom Brady is the best ever while Peyton is an overrated choker.
Man, I hate the Wolverines now!

are we doing the My Football Sim or a GM Sim league? If you want in on the My Football Sim I have a league starting up called Volunteer Football League, the password is “football”.

In the league
I can’t be fired so no risk adverseness in my 4th down calls. Straight optimization. Wooooooooooo, 4th down aggressiveness.

Interesting…I’m down.
We Colts fans did not pay $720 million dollars in public funds to build a brand new stadium that will get opened on Sunday Night Football by Jim Friggin Sorgi.
