Around SBN: Phil Mickelson Outshines Tiger Woods

We have Dan Muir here, but Dan is coming from Green Bay, where the techniques are totally different. It’s going to take a longer period of time for him to get adjusted to what we do. It’s much more preferable to have those fellows in training camp, but Quinn didn’t show up and Ed went off the reservation. It is the way it is, but the bottom line is Dan will take a little while yet before he’ll be completely comfortable. He’ll be in there in time and that will be a plus and Bob’s coming back and Melvin has played well. There is lots of light at the end of the tunnel, but right now, it has been a long tunnel.

Here’sn idea: Since the Colts DT’s have sucked for so long, why don’t you let him use the tecniques he learned in GB instead of holding him out and converting him to your shitty ways?

We Colts fans did not pay $720 million dollars in public funds to build a brand new stadium that will get opened on Sunday Night Football by Jim Friggin Sorgi.

GOLD....

pure gold there KingRichard.

Maybe he is talking about his spin move. He needs to perfect it to where he totally takes himself out of the play better. Colts-style.

hahaha yep. All about the spin son…and missed tackles too. That is another key. Oh and got to teach him to swarm to the ball carrier with the other 10 guys on D so when they all converge to hit him they hit each other and cause more injuries.

I’d love to see how many Colts players have been injured from their teammates. I am all for gang tackling but when you see 4 of your players on top of a guy you REALLY don’t need to launch yourself at them.

Come to think of it, I bet these guys have so many knee issues because they take so many hits on the knee from these tackling swarms that it just wears the knee down.

D-tackle

HUH!?!?!? HUH!?!??!? I don’t understand polians Answer about DAN!!!!!! He has been here for about two months…a month at least!!

Again I ask…WHAT FREAKIN TECHNIQUE are they teaching over on west 56th street!!!!!?!?!??!?!?/ Guys master the Shoalin technique faster than they learn how to play d tackle for the Colts!!!! Geezzz man…I wish somebody could tell me what the mystical magical technique that these guys have to learn because I am totally in the dark about the amount of time it takes guys to get comfortable in this “simple cover 2” system….

Here’s an Idea…WHIP the man in front of you by shooting the gap and make a freakin play…..why not teach that!!!!!

Oh well….he’ll be ready to play by week 16……

It's Called

The “I was cut by Green Bay, I really have no technique to improve upon, I’m basically a roster filler, Polian likes smoke and mirrors” technique. Billy Boy is turning into (or maybe always has been) a severe spin doctor. Hate to say it, but we’re saddled with shitty DT’s the rest of the season and can only hope that the offense starts dropping 30 points every first half from here on out.

Yeah…I like Polian but he is the king of spin and IMO lately he has had a lot of moves (draft picks) backfire on him which sucks to see since he was running such a good streak for years. I do not really blame him for these though because it isn’t like he knew Roy Hall would be a useless injured bitch, that Ed would become the toke king, Quinn would retire, etc.

Hall

there is a lot of resentment for a guy that has done nothing but bust his ass trying to get back from two serious injuries. He missed most of his rookie year because of a special teams collision that left him severely concussed and in need of shoulder surgery and ended the other players NFL career.
This year he had a serious knee injury and is working hard to make it back. Guys that are on the edge of the roster don’t milk injuries. Hall is very expendable to the Colts, if he wasn’t coming back or wasn’t busting his ass rehabbing he’d be IR’ed in a second and cut in the offseason.

Muir was a DE in GB

That’s why it’s taking him so long. Ramsey was able to adjust because he had played 4-3 DT in Philly and at USC.

And didn't they just cut Ramsey?

Please tell me where the logic is!

next couple of games

Dungy is conservative and won’t put someone in until they have the time.. Freeney, didn’t start until midseason his rookie year, and with this guy new to the system, dungy won’t put him in until he has had some time. Only reason Booger came in right away was that Dungy knew him and was coming from the system he had helped develop…

An expert is someone who knows more and more about less and less until they know everything about nothing...

I miss Booger.

He was good. And, any guy that big with the nickname Booger is priceless.
