#1 WR
Is it Reggie Wayne or Marvin Harrison?
IMO it is still Harrison i don't think the bond that Manning and Harrison built can be destroyed with 1 year of inactivity and although Wayne is definitely solid and able to be the #1 wide out you can still see Peyton looking for Harrison deep on flags posts and goes.
Wayne seems to be playing slot alot more but i think he would be good on the left and letting gonzo take the slot. Not my job though ill leave that up to the ladies in blue.

Gonzo
Was invisible in the slot last year, and only started playing well when he got moved to flanker, so they are keeping him there

though it also happened to be his first few games
when he was in the slot. Then he moved outside for the later part of the year. It might just have been that. He can play outside very well so putting Wayne in the slot is a matchup nightmare. Though he’s said he doesn’t like blocking from the slot and from the Ravens tape I watched he had problems with it.
Shonn Greene for Heisman
144 yards per game
6.5 yards per carry
08 TDs per game > 06 GPA

Well, I think Marvin is classified as the #1 but it sure seems lie they are co-#1. In some key situations Peyton looks for Marvin because he has has trust for him but in others he clearly looks for Wayne.
It seems to me that if they need some short yards and will go for a short pass he is more inclined to look for Marvin but if they are going for a deeper pass because it is 3rd and say 15 or 20 it is Reggie he looks for.
Part of the reason for this may simply be because he still needs to get the full timing back down with Marvin from all those missed games. It is clear they still aren’t back on the same wave length as they have been for all those years before.
We’ll see how it turns out the rest of the season. I think Monday will be a give a good idea if Peyton still sees Marvin as his clear #1, if he feels Wayne is the new “go-to guy” or if he simply does not care and will throw the ball to whoever has the best shot at catching it.

Confused
Is the question who’s the Colts #1 WR or who is Mannings? Overall obviously it would be Harrison, but it’s not as if he hasn’t built a solid connection with Wayne.
I would say see who more often is the WR in formations that only have 1 WR, that would name the Colts #1 WR. As far as Manning goes it’s hard to tell, every player has an intended reciever, this is the person Manning will look to first, and then he would work through his progressions as he eliminates possible targets. On some plays he looks for Clark first, and then maybe based on the D’s formation he simply knows that Addai looks open out of the back field.
Wayne is simply put in the slot, because he is a much bigger target. Also proven to be a little tougher, because he has a bigger frame, and more strength.

Size doesn't matter in the slot
Look at Welker or Stokely.
What matters in the slot is route running and quickness

Depends
I watched a interview with Manning last year, and they asked him about the slot position, and it’s importance to the Colts offense. He talked about how he likes having Wayne in the slot because it gives him the best versatility. He said when they had Stokely that they used it primarily to help stretch the field. With Wayne, and Clarke, he said he can stretch the field as well as have some toughness over the middle. As well as he likes to target routes that go passed the linebackers and settle in the soft part of zones before the safeties. Said having bigger targets allows him to do this most comfortably. The fact that he can have to speedy receivers that are also reliable chain movers makes him feel at his best. But IDK maybe he doesn’t know what he’s talking about, just like me, maybe your smarter than Peyton Manning too

Ok
But who’s he had better success with in the slot, Reggie, or Stokes?
And that last sentence was so obnoxious, grow up.

Yes it was
It was obnoxious, but you presume to think that the ideal slot receiver would be a player like Welker or Stokely, just based on there success alone. As well there success has been very shortly lived. Where is aside from these two, the most popular slot receiver is a Tight End, who are bigger targets, and strong enough to take hits over the middle. TE’s have been doing it for years. Not to mention that I believe it to be obvious that Stokely and Welkers success are directly related to the talent around them. Based on their lack of the same kind of success in other situations/on other teams.
Reggie has only recently been seriously used in this role, since the return on Marvin. I don’t beileve that we can say fairly who was better at that position, I mean during one of the years Stokely was with us, Manning had his best season period. I do believe however it’s a good sign, when Manning says he likes the idea of having Wayne there. So maybe it’s something to look forward to, once everything is rolling again….Go Colts!

Grain of salt
OK, this is uncredited and unsubstantiated at this point, and this is not my opinion, but this should be food for conversation:

I haven’t been going to this site for very long, but I’ve found it generally interesting and informative. Any thoughts?

That seems more like...
A deduction more than a rumour, although sadly it could be true :(
We don’t even run a spread offense, our base is two TE, that or singleback 3 wr
