That 4th & 1
Where they lined up in the I-Formation and ran the ball. What were they thinking? Obviously i know they were hoping that they could get 1 yard by following the fullback over it but seriously a 7 year old with a copy of Madden knew that was going to happen. I think if there was maybe a quick curl by a WR then it would of been beautifully set up and the defense would not have seen it coming.
The second 4th down they went for it i think Peyton tried to force it to Marvin since its been done so many times before, Gonzo however was wide open and it would of been another easy 1st down.
Also Gonzo lines up in the slot with Wayne and Harrison on the edges? What you guys think of that one?

I think everyone with a brain realized they should have gone for a short pass but hey, this is Indy we are talking about. Anyone remember back in 2003 in the regular season loss to New England? 1st and goal from I believe the 2 and they call 4 straight run plays.
Indy has become such a predictable team on offense. It is kind of depressing to see and if I can predict what they are going to do while on my ass watching game obviously people there paid to play/coach the game can too.
The 2nd 4th down was horrible because as you said, Gonzo was wide open but we have old school peyton (pre 03/04) where he locks into his receivers and throws it regardless of the coverage. I call it the Eli Manning effect. I also loved him going for a big pass on 3rd and 3 instead of going for the easy 1st down.
It all comes back to my belief that Manning has regressed this year in decision making. The Manning of last season on 3rd and 3 would have dumped it off for 5 yards not gone for that big pass to double covered reggie. He simply is not making good decisions and it seems it is getting worse as the season goes on. Back to back games where he has had good protection and made some piss poor throws/reads….and I have said it before and I will say it again- Peyton is my favourite player and I have a good deal of Peyton memorabilia so I am simply calling it like I see it.
I’d like nothing more than for Peyton to have a monster year but it simply isn’t happening.

Who knows?
How do you coach a HOF QB who is regressing, but is too egotistical to recognize or admit it? Nothing will change until they blow up the coaching staff and get rid of Manning’s cronies.

They tried the quick out on the second 4th down try
and Harper was all over it.

That's kinda funny.
I actually was hoping for a sneak, to be honest with you.
