Marlin Jackson Done for the Season

DAMMIT!

Adam Schefter is reporting that Marlin tore his ACL among other things in Wednesday's practice.  He's done for the year and will obviously need surgery.  This is awful for Marlin and truly not good for the team.

Again, DAMN!

I think you are confusing the Colts with your fantasy team

Time for a Change?

It seems that it isn’t possible to construct a team according to Polian’s design any longer. The Colts pay a disproportionate amount of salary to a few offensive stars and a couple of defensive studs. Under the cap, there are crumbs left over for critical linemen and defensive players. The team has little to no depth for injuries. The smaller, faster linemen just don’t hold up under the rigors of the NFL. With undersized players and no depth, every season is a crapshoot instead of a dependable design. Shouldn’t the Colts feature more corn fed midwestern monsters than these fleasized dfensive linemen?

Well Marlin is an above average sized CB

and is a Michigan alum from Pennsylvania.

You can’t blame philosophy for the problems at CB. They invested a 1st round pick, a pair of 2s, a 3, a 5 and a 7 in corners over the last 3 years. 3 are IRed and 2 haven’t lived up to their draft status.

While I am sad he got injured as I do not wish that on anyone, Marlin has been SHIT this season. It wasn’t hard to see completion and after completion on him (especially 3rd down) Monday night and how on pretty much every play he was giving up 7-10 yards cushions. The guy, like most Colts, is having an off year.

I’d rather have Jennings out there (as long as he isn’t getting stupid penalties) than Jackson right now.

FILE - In this Sept. 4, 2009 file photo, San Francisco 49ers quarterback Shaun Hill aims a pass downfield against the San Diego Chargers during the first quarter of an NFL preseason football game in San Diego. Hill earned the starting job for the 2009 season by beating out Alex Smith, who missed last season after re-injuring his surgically repaired throwing shoulder. Head coach Mike Singletary largely chose Hill based on his play down the stretch last year: he went 5-3 over the final eight games and he also owns a 5-0 record at home in Candlestick Park.
