My vote for play of the game is Mathis' superman flight to knock the ball out of Rosenfels' hands to set up the go ahead TD.

i'd agree

I have to agree with that one, but Wayne’s go ahead TD is a close second…

Gah… I had visions of our season going down the drain, until that comeback… flashbacks to the tampa game comeback….

Marlin Jackson

If it wasn’t for his forced fumble, the game would have been over. Him and Gary changed the momentum and energized a very lathargic Colts squad. Mathis’ play was great, but the adrenaline running through him from the fumble return for a TD was what made it all possible.

Brock was in on that one too

and Gary Brackett was perfect on the scoop and return. He flies, especially for a man of his particular build.

ya brackett's an athlete

Great job staying in bounds avoiding that big lineman.
and remember his pick vs. the pats last year, he’s a deceptive athlete.

that play was definately the turning point

but Mathis there (and Wayne on the go ahead TD) were straight jaw droppers.

I take offense to the headlines on the other sports sites as…Colts get a gift!

I believer those two fumbles, the recovery and return AND the wayne catch was more incredible that their claiming they were gifts. the second fumble was hardly a gift…that was one incredible play flying off the end, going full out and tomahawing the ball out of rosenfels hand. that was a great play

I agree with you.

Yet, the Colts never get love. I was watching over the weekend, and everyone was saying that the Giants are the best team in the NFL (even Collinsworth, who practically choked over his own words) because they are the Defending Champions and are unbeaten. Now, I remember last year when we were the Defending Champions and were unbeaten (3 years running – at least 8 games) – NO LOVE then. It was all about the Pats, remember?

I suppose I have come not to expect anything from the media where the Colts are concerned.

But it does suck.

And you’re right…it wasn’t like Rosenfells (sp) just handed the ball over – well, almost - but there were opportunites and our guys caplitalized on them. Isn’t that as much a part of the game as anything else?
