Around SBN: Cal RB Jahvid Best Seriously Injured, Carted Off Field

"When he went up in the air, I thought, 'I'm gonna put this guy's lights out,' '' Brock said. "He did, and we put his lights out.''

Raheem Brock discusses his feelings about QB Sage Rosenfels trying to jump over Marlin Jackson for a first down. Despite Rosenfels' play late in the game, I will still maintain the Texans are a damn fine football team that has been the victim of rotten luck this year. With the way this season is playing out, we might see the first 0-3 or 0-4 team make the playoffs. Unlikely? Yes. But this is the season of unlikeliness.

Texans

I agree, clearly the Texans are a much better team than their record indicates. They may have more talent than any 0-4 team in NFL history. At least, they would be in that discussion.

I'm not so sure...

We had no problems beating them, and neither did the Steelers. I don’t really think their record, their stats, or their decision-making is worthy of much praise. And I’m a Titans fan, so I am supposed to say that stuff. You should read what Texan fans say about their team…

While they are slightly above average in terms of offense, their defensive stats are quite poor. Until they learn how to stop the run and rush the passer with more than one player (Okoye is not playing well), they will keep losing.

That they nearly beat this incarnation of the Colts is not overly impressive. I just feel bad for Rosenfels, for puking on his own career.

its ridiculous

to see titans fans so cocky…. how many afc south division titles have you won? how about super bowls?

its just unreal that 5 weeks of good football and all of a sudden the titans fans think they are the toast of the nfl… lets play out the season… hell, even play the colts once before you guys anoint yourselves gods of the nfl…

In fairness to Titans fans,

many of them are great. Then there is this yahoo, who is this way to every other teams’ fans and sometimes to his fellow Titans fans. It’s okay, though. It will be fun to hunt him down and discuss it when his team comes short of the mark. Again.

People Who Live In Glass Houses Should Not Throw Stones…

And I welcome you bringing it on if your football team can outplay ours.

Just do me a favor buddy and lay off the personal insults, it’s really not very neighbourly.

How is that cocky?

Seriously? Let’s recap…

Fact #1. Titans and Steelers both easily handled the Texans.
Fact #2. Texans record is poor at 0-4
Fact #3. Their statistics are pedestrian
Fact #4. Decision-making by Rosenfels last weekend extremely poor. Decision by the team to sign Chris Brown, idiotic.
Fact #5. Texans offensive stats are slightly above average
Fact #6. Texans Defensive stats are poor.
Fact #7. They all but won the game against a struggling 1-2 Colts team. Newsflash; that doesn’t make them good.
Fact #8. Rosenfels puked on his career

Cocky

Hmm, brings flashbacks of the previous seasons of the Titans, is that why you’re so fixed on going to all the other sites to help build your confidence in your team by trying to degrade the others.

You are aware that roughing the passer call was bogus and is really the only reason you beat the Ravens.

That's fine...

Every once in a while complete bullsh*t determines the outcome of the game.

And I wouldn’t complain about it if I were you, because if that wasn’t the case, the Colts would probably be 0-4.

by BeansCarter on Oct 8, 2008 4:05 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

If that was the case the Titan’s would be 2 and 3, maybe you need to look long and hard at the replay of the Colts vs Texans game the flying through the air didn’t make the ball come loose, it was 3 Colts that sure did tho.

I’m not complaining about the BS call your team got but wait there was that other one where Lewis was picked up and thrown down and nothing was called, O by the way that holding they did on Ray was what enabled you to get that TD also.

But don't you think that maybe...

A journeyman backup QB shouldn’t be doing his best impression of Elway in the SB when the game is already won?

By the way we beat Jax convincingly 17-10. Cincinatti 24-7. Houston 31-12, and Minnesota 30-17.

The point differential in those games was 102-46.

So I admit, that we could have easily lost to the Ravens, but the score wasn’t really close with the other 4 games we played. The Ravens are a pretty good team, good luck with them this weekend.

Well thank you, if you had come to this site as favorably as you leave by your last statement in your last post maybe there would be more discussion about football and less confrontation, but again that wouldn’t be any fun would it?
