This is a copycat league....could the Colts run the wildcat?
My first thought is...no, not us. The Colts just need to execute better to get the running game going. Plus, when things aren't right, Coach Dungy doesn't like to add things. If anything, he likes to just do the bare bones basics. Get those right and then add stuff.
Basically, I don't see it happening, but how many times have we heard that this is a copycat league. Remember how Peyton would get ripped by his critics for all of his pre-snap gyrations. It's a copycat league. Now, you RARELY see QB's that are not very active post huddle (if there is one) to the snap.
The same could occur with the wildcat. I'm sure every NFL coach has seen the success the Dolphins are having with it. The way it torched the Patriots had to add intrigue.
Obviously, you have to have the right point man for it or it could backfire on you. I think that Addai could be that kind of guy. Joe was his team's QB in high school. And you can tell by his stats that it was a running attack featuring him.
HMMMM, Joe has experience as a run first QB. HMMMM, Joe was succesful at it with the evidence being that he was named a high school all-american by ESPN and Fox Sports as a high school QB.
Folks, we have our Ronnie Brown if we want to give it a shot.

problem...
If you watch the wildcat offence, the quarterback always ends up lining up as a wideout… Do the Colts want to risk Peyton lining up beside Reggie and Marvin laying down blocks and potentially having another roll over the leg like Marvin last year? “OH no not the bursa sac!!!” We don’t need it though, Peyton will fid his groove and by the end of the season he’ll lead the league in TD passes and we will be well on our way to another SB!!! GO COLTS!!!

The Colts aren't big on the gimmicky stuff
they’ll run maybe one or two trick/gadget plays a year. I remember a direct snap to Edge, a halfback pass by Addai and the Clark end around. I don’t see it happening. They stress execution over scheme in just about everything. Do something simple perfectly rather than a bunch of complicated stuff that blows up in your face half the time.

The halfback pass by Addai
Ended as a sack i believe? And didn’t Edge’s direct snap end up with an illegal procedure penalty against us due to manning fegning talking to his receivers

I know the Edge direct snap ended in penalty
and I know the Addai pass was a failure. Another one I just remembered was a tackle eligible in the redzone with Charlie Johnson. He got open in the back of the endzone then dropped the pass.
