Thankful
I was on NFL.com today and found something interesting, apparently Plaxico Burress has no regrets about skiping work two Mondays ago. Now he has repeatedly said it was a family emergency/issue. A little aggravated to say the least I mean if I no call no show I have no job tommorrow. Now if he had a reason not to be at work, why not make a call, if it's a valid reason he would be excused. But Burress has this attitude that to call would mean he's asking for permission, and he's upset at the idea of asking permission. Which is not the situation at all, by calling he'd be simply fulfilling a responsibility to his place of employment. Which is required by any other person carrying a job, but I guess because you catch a touchdown in the Superbowl, it means your invincible. When in the wide view of the situation when it comes to the history of wide recievers, who is Plaxico Burress, just another punk player that's been disciplined more than 40 times since he arrived in New York. Sad because he's trully a great talent, but what a joke of an attitude. But hey I'm just jealous right, because I can't run around acting like a fool, and make millions. No way I could be perfectly sincere, and mean everything I say, when I say players like this give all other professional athletes a bad name. Makes me so glad again we have the characters we do in Indy. Link below for the interview I found.

Very grateful, indeed.
You know, Peyton brought me to this team (grew up an Archie Manning fan) I have to admit.
The thing about this team that I have observed over the years is that the ENTIRE organization oozes class. I mean, from Irsay on down, nothing but men of character. Complete grace and dignity. Ed smoked my career away Johnson is a prime example of how they do business. Its nice that I can point to any member of this team and tell my kids “look at what he’s doing to make the world a better place” or “see, there are consequences for our actions.”
And, THAT, my friends is the reason I LOVE THE COLTS. I mean, even once Peyton retires, I will remain a Colts fan.

Baltimore loves Irsay chacter too
but your right.. certain teams seem to steer clear of off-field drama and some are a magnate for it. We had our huge Ray Lewis incident but other than that doosey Raven public lives have been tame. Ray got it (scared straight)..he chilled out and you never heard another word about his private life. He truly lives football and that rubs off on the whole team. I think the young guys don’t act up simply because they don’t want him in their ears all week long. You know how he likes to talk…..
