Is it too early to ask

What are the preferred picks in next week’s games? (I assume we prefer Cleveland over Buffalo tomorrow)

by LovinBlue on Nov 16, 2008 7:27 PM EST reply actions

yeah we want the Browns

I’ll start on the preferred picks while waiting for the SNF game

I'll write up the reasons later in the week

Bengals over Steelers
Eagles over Ravens
Vikings over Jags
Chiefs over Bills
Pats over Dolphins
Jets over Titans

Browns-Texans depends on whether the Browns win MNF
Broncos-Raiders depends on if the Colts beat the Chargers next week (though this game will be over before the Colts game starts)

lol

good luck with bengals over steelers
eagles over ravens and vikings over jags can happen
chiefs could beat the bills depending on how they play tonight

do i have to root for the patriots? :(
i really do want the jets to beat the titans.
i like to assume the colts beat the chargers. that being the case who do we need to win?

by skywalker on Nov 17, 2008 10:12 AM EST up reply actions

if the Colts beat the Chargers

then we root for the Broncos all the time, so they win the AFC West keeping the Chargers, who we have the tiebreaker over in the wildcard race.

Applied tiebreakers wrong

the Dolphins would get in ahead of the Ravens even though the Ravens beat them, because it’s a 3+ team tie where no team was swept or been swept by the rest, so it goes to conference record.

Why Bengals over Steelers?

Is this a home-field advantage thing now?

by LovinBlue on Nov 17, 2008 11:09 AM EST reply actions

no

the Ravens and Steelers are only separated by a game and they play again so it’s better that both have worse records than Indy.

If the Steelers can pull away with the division then it’s fine if they win.

cleveland is ahead of the jags now since they beat them.

they're both dead in the water

and I don’t know how to add a column onto the table.

You really should learn this HTML stuff

Go to the HTML Editor, copy the line for the Jags, starting with the <tr> until you get to the <\tr>. Then just paste it before the part you just copied. Now go back to the WYSIWYG editor and change the values.

And you are adding a row, not a column.

thanks

I’m going to put a bookmark to that comment for when I forget, until I’ve got it learned like I did when someone explained to me how to make HTML links.

I have no idea why it’s putting that gap between the Browns and Jags now. The HTML for the two is exactly the same.

it shouldn't be that hard

I understand the / thing because of it’s joke applications and HTML links into 18to88’s comments pretty often

silly question

Obviously it would be best if the colts could win out. But if we have to lose a game wouldn’t it be best to lose outside the conference? IN order to not tack on a loss and a worse conference record?

by Jammer6303 on Nov 18, 2008 12:35 PM EST reply actions

yes

but Detriot is the only NFC team left on the schedule and the REALLY shouldn’t lose that one
