Meet Our New TE - Jamie Petrowski

http://tennessean.com/article/20081118/SPORTS01/81118108/1002/SPORTS

Perhaps Tom Santi to IR?

Honestly though, I think the NFL has entered Bizarro world. We're signing Titans players now? I guess they are 10-0. It's certainly a good omen to a possible pickup of Haynesworth in the offseason (a fan can dream can't they?).

Anyway, this guy's got good size, 6-4, 262 lbs. Here's hoping he can block and it looks like he can catch. Check out the video on the right on his NFL player page: http://www.nfl.com/players/jamiepetrowski/profile?id=PET651532.

Crazy stuff, in Polian we trust.

Why not?

The Titans have plenty of former Colts…

Nothing shocks me anymore after the way this season has gone.

Thanks for the heads-up!

If I had to guess who was getting the boot/IRed (top 3)

Nick Graham-only playing special teams and he’s picked up 3 penalties there in the last 2 games
Roy Hall-at some point they are going to give up on him making it back from that knee injury this season
Tom Santi-he’s been out with the shoulder for a while now and the new guy looks like a replacement for him

Shonn Greene for Heisman
144 yards per game
6.2 yards per carry
08 TDs per game > 06 GPA

I'd say its Santi

But hopefully Hall gets the boot. Graham seems to have some potential at special teams. He gets a lot of penalties, but he has gotten down there quickly and changes the would-be return. Of course, it doesn’t matter when you tack on ten yards.

yeah I doubt the Colts are going to carry 5 TEs

Clark, Gijon, Tamme, Santi and Petrowski?

Tom Santi to IR according to TN paper

http://www.nashvillecitypaper.com/ne…iewStory=64234

Who knows if this is valid, but would make sense for the signing. As well as Eric Butler’s signing to the Practice squad.

For Real ??

I think he had like 7 catches during his stint with the Colts …

Petrowski is a local guy

I graduated with him at Terre Haute North high school in 2001, he played both Football and Basketball, and played college football at ISU in Terre Haute, It is pretty cool to see him sign with the Colts.

WTWO TV in Terre Haute is reporting that the deal is a 2 year deal pending physical tomorrow morning and he will be on Santi is headed to IR

Keyword: Pending Physical

We all know how the last one turned out…

No To Haynesworth

Maybe I’m just being crazy, but I wouldn’t want him. He’s playing for a big contract now. Once he gets it, I don’t think he’ll try as hard, unless it’s incentive-laced.

So ...

We all know i love the TE’s … so i’m down with this move, especially with Santi going to IR … but two questions …

1. Are we signing this guy for his size and blocking abilities or his hands or perhaps a combo of both?? It seems we have a blocking TE in Robinson and a receiving one in Tamme … at this point do we really need 4 TE’s ??

2. Speaking of, now that the offense is getting into sync, can we expect to see more of Tamme, or has he been hurt as well or just not playing ?? Guess i’m kind of lost on his status, but really liked him in the preseason

Thoughts ??

I like it.

The dude had 50 catches last year and he’s big. Looks like he is big enough to be a blocking TE and pass catching TE.
Good move

where did you get 50?

according to his Titans bio he’s played one NFL game (07 playoffs), a year in NFL Europe and 2 years on the Titans PS.
