I'm not sure how putting [players] in front of a microphone make anybody better off (although I take great pleasure in Joe Buck's mock outrage at Moss fake-mooning Packers fans). If anything, I could go for fewer player interviews, which would hopefully lead to fewer Andrea Kremer sightings, and, ultimately, a world of televised football without a booth full of blowhards stating and restating the obvious.
Holy crap! Ryan Wilson of Fanhouse actually says something I agree with!

players and comments
I enjoy hearing Peyton, the NFL’s smartest player, speak. But, others like Harrison, who tend to play it a little more incognito, have the right to lay low. And, I wish most of them would. And speaking of blowhards, I wish my TV had an automatic Kornheiser mute built in. Every time Kornheiser would speak, the mute feature would kick in. Those, my friends, will be features on the TVs of the future.

That would make bank
Automatic Kornheiser Mute.
Sony could do it and Peyton could do the commercial. Maybe keeping the chicken from kicking Kornheiser’s rear…“No. Chicken. No. we now have a mute button for him”

Come on..
Give Tony a break. His lover boy Brady’s out for the season, so he has to talk something right?
Otherwise he will keep speaking about Brady in games the Pats are not even playing in.

I think he mentioned Brady more times than Matt Cassel during the game.
not quite as bad as Steve Mariucci with Brett Favre, but I’ve never seen a display like Mariucci’s ever. It’s almost too intimate to be shown on TV.
Keep the faith!

No kidding
Mariucci’s admiration for Favre is suspect, to say the least. Almost need a shower after watching him gush.

That made me laugh
Andrea Kremer = excruciating
MNF announcers = also excruciating
So here’s the real question: would you rather be just barely be able to see the action of the game in the background for 20 full minutes while having to listen to the prattlings of
A. Andrea Kremer?
B. The MNF trio?

It's the truth
Anyone ever notice those on-field post-game interviews with players are completely and utterly useless?
Even moreso in the NBA I think..

I can pretty much quote the typical player comment after a loss, goes like this
‘Well, uh, this one really stings. But we’re a determined group of guys and have a lot of players with heart and character…..and we’re gonna keep fighting. Uh, we’re not gonna worry about what happened today or last week; we’re going to take it one game at a time. We have six more games to go and we’re going to go into (insert opposing team’s city here) and try to turn this thing around.’

Hockey
I swear Hockey has a book on that shit that they give the new players, have you ever listened to a interview after the game. They shouldn’t even bother doing the interview everyone knows what is going to be said.

I would love to hear someone say “We just lost a huge game. How the hell do you think I feel?”
Reporters ask the dumbest questions. I think the worst is Jim Gray (I think that’s his name).

Reminds me of this old quote
Ask the Slouch from Washington Post
Q. Are you as amazed as me how ESPN’s Ron Jaworski sees everything on every play of “Monday Night Football”? (Bob Bennett; Chicago)
A. Jaws breaks down film so well, if we showed him Army surveillance video from Afghanistan, you’ve got to figure he’d be able to track down bin Laden.
