I don’t know if this is in supposed to be in order but if so, I say Peyts is clearly #1. Yeah Adam made the game winner but fock, it is about friggin time he hit a long FG and he IS paid what, 3 mil a year to simply kick the football. Make no mistake though, I was impressed with the kick and happy he made it since it no doubt gives him and the coaches confidence he can make long guys now.

All in all, I totally agree with your list and if it was to be in order I’d go:

Manning
Gonzo
Adam
Bob
Tim

Mathis should get a game ball.

Whatever he did to annoy that tight end enough that the guy lost all composure and presence of mind to foul him like that—that foul won the game.

The Colts’ defense was not stopping anything. The Patriots would have won if that personal foul had not beed called.

Mathis gets the gilded game ball and use of the Colts jet for a weekend.

+1 to the Pats TE to get a Game Ball

But Vinatieri deserves this one. He had not kicked a 50+ FG in over five seasons and then he was asked to do it tonight, to beat his old team, to keep us in the playoff chase. And it was a perfect kick, straight down the middle and with enough leg that he could of made it from 60.

I think belichick should get one for going for a field goal on 4th and one instead of going for the first down and ultimate td. also using up all his timeouts with 11 minutes left in the game. that was as big as all the great plays by the colts

gonzo, petyon and adam game balls and BIG games but I think wayne needs a mention as well

the 3rd down defensive was maddening. thank god bob sanders was there or we dont stop them even for field goals

having said that Im thrilled with the victory. yes we have alot of teams to climb for that wild card spot but one game at a time. ONE GAME AT A TIME. our schedule is ridiculously hard. thats the only way you can look at this. to me there is only one elite team. the giants and we dont play them!

forgot to add…tennessee is sliding by in every game. I dont know but I just think this team is going to keep sliding by and then lose their first playoff game. this team has the feel of the steelers 15-1 team and the colts 14-2. they arent dominate but they just keep winning. their no offense is going to catch up with them in the end

oh and Im giving a game ball to a florida gator…thanks for the wide open dropped TD! you may beat georgia but your explayers in the pros choke!

ps- the reference to the 15-1 steelers and 14-2 colts were only meant as nearly winning every game and then choking instantly at the end. meaning you just had a gut feeling something bad was going to happen in the playoffs

How about one for Dungy?

With many posts about Dungy’s heart not being in this season, he did a great job of coaching the last few minutes. Realizing that the Patriots were out of timeouts, making sure that the clock was managed to perfection.
