non-football reason to respect Jeff Fisher
This is a pretty cool story, it's just too bad that it happened to involve the Titans.

Apparently he jumped from a helicopter with a few military guys and landed on the field right in time for practice to teach the team some sort of lesson about overcoming obstacles. Good story. Can't imagine most coaches doing this. In fact, I started wondering, who would be the funniest coach to do this? Art Shell? Andy Reid?

love that!
any one else think that he just thought that would be a cool thing to do and then figure out some ropey message about team spirit and overcoming obstacles so it didn’t look like he was just having a damn good time!
andy reid would be hilarious, as would romeo caramel. Just as well Len Whale didn’t make the jump as I fear the parachute wouldn’t stand a chance of slowing his enormous carcass on its way to earth. The impact of such a force would undoubtedly lead to some kind of armagdeddonesque annihilation of life!

Lendale White would be bad but Haynesworth would leave a crater in the earth

it backfired in a way because anyone wanting to fly out of Tenn. had to wait for the states lone flying machine to return.
