Quick Recap: Colts 23-Chargers 20

Redemption for Mr. Money:

Vinatieriadamposer_medium

Adam Vinatieri kicks 51 yard FG to beat Chargers in San Diego. BigBlueShoe loses his mind and bans any and all posters who dare to question the might and awesome power of THE Adam Vinatieri.

And yes, I had to post the Beefcake pic. Had to. Look at that face and love it people. Love it.

Go Colts!

My kicker Vinny

Here’s showing Vinny some love….

And Peyton, Marvin and Vinny all doing absolutely great on that last drive. Amazing…

I hoped they called it too...

those short runs were going nowhere, it was about time they did a playaction pass

Go Colts!

If you question Vinny

You don’t deserve to be a Colts fan or keep your manhood. Vinatieri is a god amongst us. 22 freaking game-winners. Hall of Famer for sure.

The Colts may have only won by 3, but this team can win in January. We are rising every week. I think that we may be the Giants of 2008. We play the team with the best record in Week 17. The similarities are glaring.

Peyton is clutch

Marvin is clutch
Vinny is clutch

Huge game by the RBs

Hope that Saturday is fine

(still trying to catch my breath from screaming)

Seriously...

when Saturday went down I saw the game over flashing. Manning kept them going!

OMG...

he couldn’t stop that nose tackle at all… hell the fat arsh went over him at the goal line.

Go Colts!

we NEED Saturday

we can’t make a playoff run without him. When Saturday went out Peyton was obviously flustered and he was missing throws. For Manning’s confidence sake, we need Saturday.

by MarkFive05 on Nov 23, 2008 11:42 PM EST to parent up reply reply actions actions   0 recs

This was such a tough game for us...

with that rookie they wasted two timeouts on that touchdown drive that they went on 4th down on. Heal up Saturday and Sanders!

Go Colts!

He deserves to

And then we can have some cap space to sign someone.

What a great game

I hate night games. There is very little time to celebrate. I’ll just be extremely tired tomorrow I guess.

Let’s start a new streak.

Norv is gone now...

Chargers have the talent to win it all… they are wasted on him.

Andrea Kremer talked about her interview with LT

and said on national TV that he said he was finding it hard to get up for the games, or something close to that. If I’m Norv Turner, I’d be getting in his face for saying stuff like that. Talk about a morale killer for a team.

Keep the faith!

Peyton Is The MVP

No freakin’ doubt about it.

ya

and now he has these next 5 games where his stats will balloon to get the attention of all the “experts”

by torontocoltsfan on Nov 23, 2008 11:42 PM EST to parent up reply reply actions actions   0 recs

He'll Get past 30 TDs

which will be about equal with Warner. Manning won’t be unanimous, but he wasn’t even unanimous in 2004. #3 would go great with a Super Bowl ring as well.

that kick would have been good from 65

4th and inches call will go down as one of the gustiest calls all season. you dont get it and maybe san diego has a chance to win. get it and we win. f-ing brilliant. Vinny is the only bank not struggling right now.

It was a huge, HUGE signing back in 2006

We probably wouldn’t have won the Super Bowl without him, and he is just an amazing player. A once-in-a-lifetime player.

i feel you but SD is a diffrent defense… even tom brady threw like four picks against them.. manning last time threw six.. im worried BUT we grinded through a win… a lot of our wins we grind through but were winning… BOB will come back soon.. if we can win without him, when he comes back hes a big diffrence maker… if not Bullits cool.. but Hayden and Beth gotta step up

My SB Nation signature says it all

May the wind be always at your back, and may your placekicker have icewater in his veins.

Vinny reminds me...

of the Banks character from The Mighty Ducks. He started as a Hawk, and even when he became a Duck, he was still a cake-eater. But then eventually gained acceptance. So good job, Vinny. Cake-eater.

by hoosierdore on Nov 24, 2008 12:31 AM EST reply reply actions actions   0 recs

Icewater

Everyone says that some kickers have icewater in their veins. I’m not comfortable with that analogy, because the idea of some guy with a jug and some ice cubes refilling Vinatieri (who shall henceforth be referred to as "Money") is unsettling.

Consequently, I propose that Vinatieri has some kind of supercooled cryogenic slush that hovers slightly above absolute zero.

If he doesn’t get in the Hall of Fame, then they need to say “no kickers or punters ever”. No one makes the bigger kicks. He’s pretty much solely responsible for 4 Super Bowls (3 Pats wins, plus the Baltimore game on the Colts run).

The Colts have quietly become the team that no one wants to draw in rounds 1 – 3 in the playoffs.

I thought it was a HUGE mistake by norv turner for going for the field goal. I WAS jumping up and down thrilled they did that and left peyton 1:30 left to win.

was there anybody including chargers fans who thought peyton wasnt going to win it in regulation? NOT ME. if you are the chargers you have to go for it right then and there. you are playing the most clutch comeback qb and team and you go for the tie with all that time left. Im going for it on 4th down and win or lose it there. they make that and I think their chances were about 480/20 of it, you score a td and the colts maybe have a few ticks left and little or no chance.

to me that was the bonehead play of the game. no way in hail I thought adam would miss that. not this year!

what a HUGE win for the colts!
