Week 13 Power Rankings

Marima at Pats Pulpit puts this together every week and I enjoy it so I thought I'd put something together for us Colts.

What If Sports ranks us 11th (+2)

NFL.com has us at 7th (+1): The schedule sets up the Colts to run the table.

Yahoo Sports: 9th

Fox Sports: 9th (nc):  Peyton Manning's getting plenty of practice in his two-minute drills for playoff time when he'll need it most.

ProFootball Weekly ranks us 8th:  When will teams learn to cover Gonzalez on third downs?

The Sporting News ranks us 3rd (+3): Colts fans should be thankful for the long-term prosperity they have had with Peyton Manning and Tony Dungy.  Hmm

ESPN (I know, I know) ranks us 6 (+2): The Colts have built a nice streak and now look to have easy stretch.

Metro Boston (I liked where we are ranked) ranks us 3rd: Peyton Manning has led the Colts to six go-ahead scoring drives in the last four minutes of the fourth quarter this season, and he’s 5-1 in those games. Note: we are ranked above Pittsburgh!

USA Today ranks us 5th (+1)

Don Banks at SI ranks us 4th (-1):  they've got at Cleveland, Cincinnati and Detroit just ahead -- and everyone on God's green earth at that point will label them "The Team Nobody Wants to Play in the AFC Playoffs." And the thing is, it'll probably be true...I realized they beat the Pats and Steelers in back-to-back games in Weeks 9-10, and where else can you put them but just ahead of New England and Pittsburgh?

Peter King at SI ranks us 6th:   And here's how nutty this season is for the Colts: Barring a major surprise, they'll be 10-4 and in the driver's seat for the fifth seed (with the head-to-head edge over the Pats and Ravens).

Again, lots of thanks to Marima, as I followed her links this week.

Is it Plagerism, if you admit it isn't yours?

Anyway.  Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

You got it.

I know that these rankings don’t mean squat. I just find them entertaining.
