Happy Thanksgiving- Early Game Open Thread

Happy Thanksgiving!

0511-07pigskindinner_medium

Like many of you (I'm sure), I'm spending much of the day getting ready for family to come over. I've been rearranging furniture, cleaning, and cooking since about 7am. This year we are making turkey (just for others because I am a vegetarian... but I can still kick your ass!), stuffing, salmon, scallops, greens, apple crumble, and mashed potatoes with mushroom gravy. I'm also stocked up on beer, beer, BEER and when the early game comes on (Titans at Lions) I'll peek in to see if Detroit is making a game of it.

Oh, and don't forget to set your fantasy rosters!

From us at Stampede Blue, we wish you a very happy Thanksgiving. If you are traveling, be safe. If you are cooking, feel free to share recipes below the fold (nothing unmanly about sharing a fried turkey recipe, is there?). And no matter what you are doing, give thanks.

This is your open thread for the early game. Enjoy.

Nah

We won’t the division anyway, rather see the Titans win quickly to make sure they’re resting people week 17.

True

I was just saying that to my brother – it’s like the opposition just figures them out early.

maybe the defenders realize whats going on

and tell Culpepper it’s 2008 not 2002, he’s in Detroit not Minneapolis and that big freakish WR is not Randy Moss it’s Calvin Johnson.

How bad has Matt Millen screwed up this team...

If the Titans

are winning 35-3, then that means the Colts will be 42-0 by half when they play. This Lions team may be the worst team in NFL history!

The team has never been the same

since Barry retired. They need to fire their entire coaching staff and start over.

Agreed

I suspect that the Texas-A&M game will be more highly subscribed than the Cards-Eagles, too.

And so VY's career as a backup as started:

“With a 34-point lead midway through the fourth, quarterback Vince Young played for the first time since spraining his left knee in the opener.”

I sat Westbrook (wasn't sure about his leg and the Eagles O in general)

37 points.

I had Witten, Akers and the Eagles D in that league

so it didn’t ruin thanksgiving, but it might make me hate myself
