Pressure!
Man those Steelers can bring the pressure!I sure hope they've spent all of their sack tokens in one night! They got 7 on campbell, whose a mobile quarterback and tried his hardest to escape the defensive line as quick as he could!
How does everybody think we'll hold up against their D line and D in general?Think we're gonna see a lot of quick passes and screens to the likes of Dallas and Addai?
GO HORSE!!!

Mobility gets a QB sacked sometimes
Campbell would try to run away or juke the defenders instead of dumping off a pass or throwing it out of bounds. That pass rush looked intimidating but Peyton is a much hard QB to blitz than Campbell.

Hard To Blitz
With Manning returning to form, it will be hard for them to blitz. He should be able to find the open receiver before the rush gets him.

Good Points
Both good points. On another note how do you think Our D line will pressure Big Ben or Fatty Leftwich?

We just might be OK in this one. Pittsburgh has had…“protection issues”…lately.

they won’t get pressure. They got shit all vs New England and I expect them to get shit all vs Pitts. The Colts defense is quite simply crap. The ONLY reason it looked good last season was the offense masked the huge issues in pass D and 3rd down stops and pass rush and with the offense struggling this season we are clearly seeing how bad the D is in those areas.
It is sad when in ONE GAME the Steelers get 70% of Indy’s total sacks in 8 games.
Oh and it would not be bad if they didn’t have around $20 mil (avg per season that is) combined tied up into 3 pass rush specialists.
This team needs a new defensive scheme. The Giants have a similar D in size and speed yet look what they do with the rush. It is all in the scheme.

The Colts D is such crap that they are 15th in yards allowed per game
and 17th in points allowed per game. With the offense struggling so it can’t “mask the huge issues.”
I don’t follow your logic in the offense masking pass D issues last year. An offense scoring points forces the other team to pass more which would expose the pass D. A good offense covers for a sub-par run D (in fact the Colts count on it), but it doesn’t do anything for the pass D.

He'll be fine
That is as long as the line gives their full effort and attention to finding where the blitzes are coming from. Also, Peyton’s quick release will help. No one likes being called for a roughing the passer call.

Colts vs Steelers
I think the Colts are going to destroy the Steelers defense this weekend. If Bob Sanders can rally that defense into even average play and make some third down stops, it shouldn’t even be close. The Colts offense is THAT good when they have an opportunity to be on the field.

hahaha, keep dreaming dude. Obviously in theory I agree in that IF they stop them on 3rd downs and IF the O gets to be on the field for a while then they should easily win the game but I have no doubt it’ll be the same as it has been in 7 of the 8 games- the D will get into many 3rd down situations only to give up the yards and the offense will spend 8 seconds on the field because of this.
The D stopped New England on only TWO DRIVES despite all those 3rd down chances. Had Indy’s pass offense not been in sync they’d have easily lost that game.
Some need to accept that indy’s D is mediocre and nothing points to this changing.

Yes, this site is full of idiots... except you.
Thank God you’re here to keep setting us straight!

It's not that
don’t enjoy and even agree with your sarcastic, pessimistic rants from time to time. And, unfortunately, you may even be right about nothing changing in Indy’s D, but yes, I’m going to choose to keep dreaming a while longer! I’ve seen them turn it around before when I never thought it was going to happen. And now, with Sanders back, it’s their best opportunity. The Colts offense is still heads and tails above the other teams in my opinion. And, Manning is still the best QB. Remember, they had a pretty good year in 2005 with a less than stellar defense.
