Colts sign a DT named Johnson (not Ed)
The Colts signed DT Antonio Johnson from the Tennessee Titans practice squad. Johnson was a 7th round pick in 2007by the Titans, and missed his rookie year with a knee injury. Johnson is 6'3, 310 pounds, and played his college ball at Mississippi State. Some impressions of Johnson at Mississippi State are here.

sounds good
I like that he was on the list of guys who were doing well rather than the “sliders” list.
I also like that Polian is continuing to try to improve the defensive line problems.
Also, if there’s a team where the practice squad DT may have some real talent but there’s just too much depth at the position on the roster, it’s probably either Tenessee or the Giants.
Questions about Muir
I wonder if that means that he’s going out the door or if they’re still going to keep him and see if he can get healthy?
he played Green Bay and Tenn
and wasn’t on the injury report. He’s healthy.
Shonn Greene for Heisman
140 yards per game
6.3 yards per carry
08 TDs per game > 06 GPA
Nice Move
it does say something about just how desperate we are for a playmaking DT. It makes me excited for the draft.
do we still have Lajaun Ramsey? or did he get the boot

Ramsey is gone
He was cut after the McCargo trade, but never re-signed.

Not often

Good pick up.
He was performing well enough in training camp and pre-season to make most teams’ rosters, but we have so much depth on the defensive line that there wasn’t any room for him.
Scouting report
Any pros and cons about him hartley?

Antonio Johnson, DT, Miss. St. . . .2007 Sporting News Draft issue analysis . . .FYI
-strong at point of attack
-flashes quickness and power to run through blockers and shoot gaps
-locates the ball quickly and is a solid tackler
-sheds blocks on running plays
-gives inconsistent effort . . .must show more intensity
-limited range; lacks speed to chase down ballcarriers
-is raw; must improve his pass-rush arsenal
Bottom Line: has potential as a gap-charging run stuffer. He is talented and could become a starter who can disrupt the inside running game
6-25/8 305 5.10 (4th round grade)
Sounds pretty good.
Thanks for taking the trouble to share.
