I need big nights from Eli, Plax, and Eagles Defense

Lots of counteracting going on, but need about 35 points

by mgrex03 on Nov 9, 2008 8:30 PM EST reply actions

I'm probably set in the shakedown league

worst case, Jake notices he’s starting a kick on a bye and picks up Rackers or Nedney. Then it would be

Jake’s Kicker vs Westbrook, Akers and the Eagles D +23

It's not even worth it

I think the whole “QB getting me -.75 points” thing kind of signaled for me that I should probably just focus on saving face next week.

I actually forgot to take Campbell out of the lineup

Before Delhomme’s game started.

I picked up Shaun Hill, and I’m hoping he’ll get more than 1.6 points, like Delhomme did today.

4 INTs against the Raiders??

#95 went straight over Coughlin's son in law Chris Snee

Eli nearly throws a pick.

Drive ends in a TD anyway.

#95 is Victor Abiamiri

Who was a beast at DE for Notre Dame.

In 2004 (Willingham’s last season), we had Abiamiri on one end, and Justin Tuck on the other.

by mgrex03 on Nov 9, 2008 8:42 PM EST up reply actions

it was a weird play

usually when an O lineman gets pancaked its sudden, but Abiamiri got under him and kept pushing and driving him back until he went over.

That's a good start

Need 2 more, please. 7-7, TD Burress

I'm looking at my other fantasy league now

The guy who had Brady last year, and kept him for this year, is 1-8-1 on the season now. This week was especially telling how good he is:

He started Trent Edwards vs. New England instead of Garrard against the Lions. He would have won had he just played the QB who was playing the Lions.

by mgrex03 on Nov 9, 2008 8:51 PM EST reply actions

The Garrard-Marcedes Lewis combo

was what powered me to the commanding lead over Jake.

Gotta love him

I thought he made another classic, when he was saying the reason the Giants won the Lombardi Trophy was because they beat the Patriots in the last game of the year. I forgot that they played in week 17 last year, so that kinda ruined it.

by SeattleColt on Nov 9, 2008 9:09 PM EST up reply actions

All right, I'm now within 1 point

But he still has Rackers tomorrow.

Another 15 and I’ll feel comfortable.

Eagles by 1 or 2 points would be ideal

I picked Giants to cover, but after looking at the game more I had a change of heart a took the Eagles for my straight up pick.

I have been a Giants fan...

for the last couple years. Kinda felt bad for Eli and Coughlin… they make the post season and people still call for their heads. then they go and kill the Perfect Patriots… how can you not be a fan?

Go Colts!

by Marked Hoosier on Nov 9, 2008 10:16 PM EST up reply actions

I did not like Eli...

… and the way he and his Daddy manipulated the draft. But I had a huge change of heart when he kept his composure against the big bad Cheatriots and won the game on that spectabulous final drive!

WTF

Wow, that might be the stupidest rule ever. So the very back of a foot can be behind the line while the REST of your body is over the line and your good when throwing? That’s makes as much sense as the BCS.

you haven't seen bad playcalling until you've watched the Iowa O

they have both a right handed and a left handed QB. They loved to roll the lefty to the right, and still love rolling the righty to the left.

That is a legitimate playcalling issue.
