probably their D being in decline for the last few years
then their interior line getting gutted by injuries and not having a great passing game to fall back on like the Colts did when they lost their interior.

FO puts it on a defensive collapse with a general offensive decline
13th last year to 26th this year. Offense went from 3rd (great passing DVOA because of Garrard insanely low picks and they were very good on the ground like you’d expect) to 17th with a pretty equal decline in both passing and running.

before the season started and after reading peter king and bill simmons proclaim the jags superbowl bound this summer…I laughed. and hard. I predicted 7-9 and although I even underestimated it even being worse, I did not fall for that…team nobody wanted to face. I got ripped for saying their qb had a one hit wonder year…giving him 60 million after just one year?, they still have no recievers after the FA garbage pickup of porter, laughing hysterically at picking up williamson, the fact that regme williams would be on the bench for every other team, nelson cant tackle and their florence pickup sucked making their d still swiss cheese, that fred taylor was at the end of his career and dont be surprised he is done, along with their aweful offensive and line, their D is soft, and most importantly their collection of joke coaches and their constant pitiful drafting. living here and hearing the fans tell us that mike smith was a puppet to del rio….yeah who is the puppet? mike tice the assistant coach is absolute crap along with del rio having no control over this team. I said this all this summer and got laughed at. now who is laughing now. yes I am
dont be surprised if this team is gone sooner than anybody thinks. if anybody thinks their team wont leave the city just ask colts fans. the jags are a mess and were a mess before the season started. the fact that del rio took his team to the movies instead of preseason practice and wanted to be one of the guys is pretty clear now. del rio has lost this team and then all of sudden wanted to be the coach. there were so many signs of this team falling apart but people looked past the way too many felons that corrupted this team and it may be a surprise to some of this teams total collapse but not me
Del Rio looked like a ghost out there last night
The cameras caught a few shots of him over the sideline and he did not look comfortable in his own skin. It was like he’d never seen a football field before. It was sad.
