New Blog: Anchor Of Gold For Vanderbilt Fans!

Q: Final question. You’re in your eighth season and obviously firmly established as not only one of the NFL’s top receivers, but as a core player on one of the most successful teams of this era. You’re forever linked with this franchise. Do you ever imagine what your career would have been like with another team? It’s been a very, very good fit for you here . . .

A: It’s kind of hard to picture that. I really don’t see myself anywhere else. Even when it was time for my contract – and you always kind of sit back at that time and you’re thinking, ‘Man, what if they don’t want me. Where do I see myself?’ I can’t see myself anywhere else. This is where I started. This is where I want to finish. You see people go out there, and they go to different teams, and it may be for different issues – money, or whatever the case may be. But the grass is not always greener. I can’t see that. Every time you see me and you think of football and the National Football League, I see me in blue and white. I see me as a Colt. I can’t picture me anywhere else.

Awesome.

Just. Awesome. It is really hard to have a favorite player on this team! They all rock.

yea, its even hard

to pick a favorite on ONE side of the ball… On offense who doesn’t love Peyton’s humour or tight butt? Or Reggie’s personality and catching abililty. Or Saturday’s toughness and kickass beard? Or Dallas Clark’s abliity to take 42 concussions and keep on playing, and his goofiness. Or Dominic Rhodes hard running and enthusiasm? And on defense you have DFree, greatest pass rusher, ever, and one of the most interesting sports people I’ve ever seen/heard. You have Brackett, the loveable teddy bear (I’m starting to sound gay), the under dog, the captain. You have Bob, destroyer of worlds. You have quiet, unassuming Bethea and Hayden, who will kill you. Even on Special Teams you have The Most Accurate Holder in History, Hunter Smith. You have hunk Adam Vinatieri. You have Darrell Reid. Just so many guys that you can really like on this team.

you forgot...

how about the quiet Marv on offense for all those years…and on defense an equally good pass rusher in Mathis!! That said…Reggie has move up a few notches with me. What a great guy!
