He was listed on NFL.com's IR list. Now, he is gone. Odd. We'll keep an eye on this.

God no.

Why can’t we ever, ever, EVER catch a break? He was the one stalwart on our D-Line.

Jesus that’s depressing. Holy crap.

WTF?

Where did this come from?

Third time is the charm— we are officially cursed at the DT position.

as Slash said, WHEN THE HELL WILL WE GET A BREAK?

our defensive loses:
Eric Foster
Micheal Coe
TJ Rushing
Ed Johnson
Quinn Pittcock
Marlin Jackson

Temporary loses
Gary Brackett
Kelvin Hayden

and thats not including what happened on offense.

It’s alright. They did it to free up a roster spot. With the new, huge A. Johnson doing well and K. Dawson doing well and Muir in the lineup also showing good signs, and lots of others in the rotation—including Brock, Reid and even Thomas in there—they could afford not to let him heal. This is a sign that the Colts have caught a break. The DT is the most important spot in the Colts defense because it lets the DEs go one on one, which means the quarterback is doing a three step drop and the cornerbacks are going to make turnovers. I think that they can afford to, and are eager to IR him is great. The defense is looking good. Sorry about him because he was doing great at getting into the backfield. He wasn’t my first choice to get rid of to make space, but it’s still a good sign.

I agree that I think they’ll be ok with Miur and Dawson in there, but they still have the worst luck when it comes to DT. This is strengthening my argument to draft another badass DT in vein of Warren Sapp and Booger. You can cut size at this position and expect to play well, hopefully Polian finally realized this.

Ummm..

Did this really happen? He was taken off the list as being placed on the IR, and Colts.com still hasn’t made any update.

Hopefully it was just a mistake

And they meant Albert Haynesworth. And Troy Polomalu. And the entire AFC East.

Phew...
DT Eric Foster (neck stinger) — I’ve been advised an NFL.com report that had Foster going on injured reserve was incorrect. Foster is expected to return this season, but I don’t expect to see him for this game.

Good

I wonder what NFL.com was thinking.
