Stampede Blue FFL Playoffs Continue

We wrote a lot of stories this week leading up to the Colts facing the Lions, and the one thing that was not touched on was the fantasy football roundup from the Stampede Blue League. I was defeated by MasterRWayne's LincolnBrigade team (I'm still crying). Here are the playoff match-ups for this week, both brackets:

Good luck to those still in the playoffs. The rest of us are off to cry in our pillows.

I told you all I was going to lose, yellowsnow knocked me out. Just my luck that I had to face the hottest team in the league, while mine was in a steep decline. Oh well, watcha gonna do?

Yellowsnow’s team has been on a warpath lately.

This is sort of unrelated...

but i was wondering if you guys could offer me some advice for my fantasy team.

Firstly QB: Romo or Rodgers: Romo has a poor record in december but has a good record against the Giants, however Rodgers is playing the Jags who seem to have given up this year. Whose the best start?

Secondly WR: I’m thin at WR thanks to Buress and i’m wondering who to play this week Deion Branch or Eddie Royal. Royal plays well on the road, however Branch is appealing after his 83 Yd 2TD effort against the pats and the fact that he’ll be facing the Rams. Any advice?

Cheers

Carolina is shuting down #2 WRs

and the Rams as you’d expect suck against 1 and 2 WRs. I’d go Branch

for the QBs Giants are 8th in pass D (both by DVOA and yards per game) Jags are 25th in Pass D DVOA, 13th in yards per game. The Jags are giving up 20 yards and .5 TDs per game more.

Rodgers has 30 YPG and 0.8TD less per game than Romo

The Jags have clearly quit, but I think they quit long enough ago to have it reflected in their stats. Their Weighted Defensive DVOA is only very slightly worse than total.

I’d have to say Romo by a nose.
