Jags won’t be easy, and Titans won’t be easy. Get ready for the Cardiac Colts from now on!

This gets tricky...

You obviously want to make the playoffs, and the Colts have sort of positioned themselves for 5 seed or nothing. But I think, especially if Haynesworth is really hurt, the Colts want to try to shadow the Titans as much as possible. I think the Titans are destined for the #2 seed, which means the Colts only play them if the #6 loses to the #3 seed, and regardless of who the #3 seed is, I think the AFC east or Ravens team that gets the #6 seed could beat the #3 seed (winner of AFC east or AFC west). I think, ideally for the Colts, they 1) make the playoffs 2) face denver in the first round (be careful what you wish for?) 3) Face the Titans in the second round (better weather than pitts, and if haynesworth is out, that really hampers their lines ability to pressure Manning without blitzing) 4) whatever.

I guess perfect world, the Titans would still get the #1 seed, the Colts would get the #5 seed, an AFC East team would get the #6 seed, the Colts would beat #4 and Tenn, and #6 could roll, and then #6 plays #5 at the luuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuke.

Don’t pinch me yet :P

It's not a bracket

The six would automatically play the 1, not the 2 in the second round. The NFL isn’t a bracket system. The 1 gets the lowest (worst) seed that wins in the wild card round. The two gets the highest (best). There’s no way to predict who the Colts will play in round two unless they finish as the six. Then you know for sure they play the 1 seed in round two.

Yes. I know,

That was my point. I believe the Titans are going to get the #2 seed now, and I wanted the #6 seed to make it to the AFCCG so that there could be a home game at the luke. I was trying to (apparently unsuccessfully) articulate how its going to be real hard to get a favorable run through the playoffs.
