Hey there guys, yeah I know, a Bills fan here asking questions about one of your players before the season is through, but we have a bit of a spirited debate springing up over at our board over the upcoming offseason (since our season has officialy been sunk like the Lusitania).
Saturday is being bandied about by some members as one of the possible top flight FA Centers this offseason along with Matt Birk over in Minny. I decided to go right to the horses mouth (joke maybe intended) to get a feel from you folks about Saturday and his possible chances at FA. Questions being asked outline below.
- What do you as a fan base think Jeff Saturday's chances are of actually hitting FA? (I have watched some of your games this year, and I personally cannot see Peyton letting his guy just walk after some of the shots he has taken this season right up the gut).
- IF he does hit FA, how many good years do you think he has left, or is there a chance he might retire instead?
- What would Jeff bring to the table if the Bills somehow snagged him in FA if he did get to it?
Personally, I think both Jeff and Birk won't hit FA at all, and will stay with their respective teams. This post I must admit is definetly to boost my position (hopefully!) that we need to draft Alex Mack from Cal in the 1st round. Please, let me and by extension all of the Bills fans over at Buffalo Rumblings know whats going on with Jeff.
