Harrison out Thurs

From indystar: http://www.indystar.com/article/20081217/SPORTS03/81217043/1100

Says Harrison did not make the trip to Jacksonville, Addai and Sanders did and are expected to play, I guess Gonzo will start in his place, not sure who will take over the third WR spot.  Kinda hurts in this game since the Jax secondary is depleted, having 3 healthy receivers would have been nice.  I'm still trying to get to the seventy-five word limit, doubt i'm there yet, but I'll check

That sucks...

Who is 4th on the depth chart? Garcon? Hall?

I think I rather see Garcon out there

He has been practicing with the team the majority of the year, while Hall has been hurt….kind of curious what Garcon can do out there but I suspect they’ll have more of a 3 wide out formation of Wayne, Gonzalez, and Clarke or just have Gonzo and Wayne out with Clark and G. Rob as the the TE’s…we’ll see though.

I doubt we will see Garcon or Hall regularly

3 WR set would be Gonzo, Wayne, and Clark at WR with G-Rob at TE. Garcon and/or Hall will only play on rare occasions.

Unfortunately, we have not cut Dookie. He’s such a bad returner.

Really wanted to see Marv get 6 catches

I really would like to see marv get 6 more catches this year to move to 2nd all time. Due to the uncertainty of his return next season I’d like to see him get that milestone this year.

Dun nuh nuh nuhhhh!!!! Super Mathis

I’d bet that no matter what, they’ll find a way to get him the record in week 17. Remember a couple of years ago (or last year) when they kept Reggie out to set a personal record even with the rest of the starters resting…

I’d bet we’ll see more 2 TE sets with Gijon, and Garcon would be the #3. I would love to see what Roy Hall can do though. Physically, he’s a beast, and if he can get open he could be quite a weapon.

Maybe we'll have a Jacob Tamme sighting

Hall is listed ahead of Garcon on the depth chart, but that is far from a sure answer.

I spoke with Hall at Training Camp.

Told him that I believed he was going to have a great season. He thanked me. Signed stuff for my son and me. This was extra, as he was not assigned to do so. He and Coach Dungy were the only ones going out of their way to come to the fans and sign, pose, etc. (Although my son did run across the boundaries after practice and get Jeff Saturday’s autograph on his hat.)

Anyhow, it goes to show that my words of encouragement failed to have any positive effect at all. Although he can still prove me right for two more weeks and the post season…

My Bold Predictions for Tonight ...

With Marvin out, there will definitely be some adjustments on offense tonight … here are my predictions for tonight’s game … maybe bold, maybe not … but probably most definitely assured to be wrong ….

1. The D’s focus goes to Reggie and he has a quiet game

2. After last week’s game the Jags also focus on Dallas, and even at WR, he only has a 4-5 catch game (i really hope this one is wrong …… because i love him)

3. We will see Gonzo at the outside and plenty of two Tight End sets … I except Gonzo to have a decent game, but expect another big game from Honey Gijon Robinson

4. There will be a Jacob Tamme sighting and UK fans everywhere will collectively rejoice

5. Chad Simpson breaks a big run and scores his second NFL touchdown

  • 6. And the bonus prediction … there is a mysterious man named ROY HALL in the game and he has TWO … yes TWO receptions !!!!

Ok off to work now … probably all wrong predictions, but hey it would be cool to see # 6

4.
