The Colts have signed LB Rufus Alexander from the Vikings practice squad. Alexander was a 6th round pick in 2007. He appeared in his first NFL game week 7 of this year and was a leading candidate to fill one of the roster spots left by the WIlliams' suspensions. Alexander is the 3rd player the Colts have signed off another teams practice squad this season.

pros and cons

Pro
his name is Rufus
he’s from a Colts type scheme (MIN’s DC was Indy’s DBs coach)
he was mentioned as a possible Colts pick in 2007

Con
It probably means Brackett is out for at least 3 weeks (the amount of time Alexander has to stay on the roster for)

Shonn Greene for Heisman
Big Ten's leading Rusher, Leads FBS
144 yards per game
6.2 yards per carry
08 TDs per game > 06 GPA

Or it could mean Brackett is done for the season, will be placed on IR, and this guy is just adding some depth. I seriously hope this is not the case.

I hope it's just because Brackett is out for a week or two

Lets assume...

that they aren’t IRing Brackett…

Who goes? Only people I can see as candidates are: Silva, Foster, Muir, and maybe Federkeil?

I would say Roy Hall, but… :)

No way in hell they cut Foster

At least I hope not. I also doubt they cut Silvia based on how banged up the safeties are.

this guy...

sorry for just saying Foster. Im not real up to date on who this guy is, because he’s never played. I’m assuming that if Sanders is coming back he’ll be free to go:
