Around SBN: Ray Allen Fighting Age, Injury And His New Role

Saturday Night Football Open Thread

The Ravens and Cowboys fight to keep their wildcard hopes alive. With the 5 seed clinched I'm free to let the Cowboys hate flow.

GO RAVENS!

A loss drops the Cowboys behind the Bucs and Falcons for the wildcard (and the Eagles if Philly wins tomorrow).

no, but it helps them. So if the Cowboys win and ...

the Pats lose either of their last two and the Fins and Jets both win this week then the Pats miss the playoffs.

or if the Pats lose either of their last two and the Ravens win week 17 over the Jags, the Pats can’t get the WC.

Or shitty offense? I can’t figure it out, just yet. My wife has a better throwing motion than Tony Romo. He’s not even stepping into his throws, and then he’s 3/4 side arm/short arming them.

Ravens definitely showed up, Lewis pumped them up. But it also has alot to do with T.O. boo hooing over balls. Witten’s been looking like the best option tonight but it looks like Romo was told not ot hurt the receivers feelings. Over under on how much he bitches tonight?

Flacco

Is gonna be pretty good when he gets better at the intermediate stuff. Big kid, real mobile, seems to have a good head on his shoulders. They need some offensive line help. Hope they don’t get it. Amazing that they had a QB Guru for a headcoach for how many years and could never get a young QB, they get a STer for a head coach and they have someone that looks like he could turn into a franchise QB. Neat stuff.

How shitty was that 3rd and 1 option play? Just QB sneak it with the defensive formation the ravens were in.

Well

Well whoever wins the Jets/Dolphins game doesn’t make it now. Ravens had tiebreaks on Miami and NE I think. So NE can’t make it now if both Dolphins/Jets win this week. I think that pretty much eliminates them unless the Ravens lose. Now only the division winner from the AFC East can go now and they both have tiebreaks on NE.

Wade Phillips is like Cam Cameron or Mike Tice or Norv Turner or Brian Billick: great coordinator, lousy head coach. I get the feeling Jason Garrett is neither.

It felt good watching the Ravens stick a stake in the heart of the Cowboys’ playoff chances.
