Around SBN: Cal RB Jahvid Best Seriously Injured, Carted Off Field

Pre-game Festivities

Alright, for the first time since I have been contributing/reading this site, I am living in Indianapolis.  I have never done more than turn on the TV to watch the Colt's game, and would like to find a good spot to get with other Colts fans and tailgate and/or watch the game.  If anyone has any suggestions or has an event with an open invitation, let me know.  I might be getting tickets(find out tommorrow), and this would be my first time going to not only a Colts game, but a professional sports event(Do the Texas Rangers really count?).  So let me know, and thanks.

Also, a big shout out to zkmavz.  Thanks for hanging out, and sorry to leave you stranded again back in Dallas.

Why the sudden change in location?

What happened to Waco, or whatever?

Well.....

Not to make anyone uncomfortable, but me and my wife split. Won’t get into details, but it looks like I’m in Indy for good. But now that I’m single, I want to have a good time and enjoy the rest of my 20’s. Plus, my web design business will probably be a lot stronger here than it ever could have been in Wacko.

Sorry to hear it.

I hope you have a Merry Christmas, and best wishes in the web design business. I’m two hours north of Indy, exit 240 on I-65, Lowell, IN. So I can’t be much help about hang out places in the Indy area. One of these days when I shoot down to the city again, though, I’d like to hook up with some of the local Stampeders.

Meanwhile, Go Colts!

Thanks for the well wishing. Feel free to holler if you come this way, I should be settled in by then.

Hehe

It’s all in good fun. I hope you and the Wifey had a good Christmas. I didn’t pull off tickets to the game, but I will still be downtown representing, hoping to catch some tailgate action. My friends are lame and haven’t ever went downtown on game day either. But at least now I have the opportunity, right?

Well ....

Sorry to hear about your wife man … hope all works out for you in Indy

I’m currently overseas in Afghanistan with the Army Reserves, but will be headed home to Indiana soon … my fiance and I (we got engaged at a Colts game when i was on leave !!) will be ending up in the Noblesville area, where she is a teacher …

So maybe next season … if you’re still in Indy … we can meet up for some tailgating before a game … because i will definitely be there !!

For the time being … in downtown Indy i would say hit up Jillians sometime, and the Hooters downtown is not too bad either …. i have not been to the Slippery Noodle for a Colts game, but it’s a cool bar and i hear a good time for games … it’s just a block or two south west of Conseco Fieldhouse and also a good spot before/after Pacers games …

Also there is a place called Blue Crew Sports Grill up on the north side on 96th st … the place is all Colts and pretty cool … never been there on game day, but i hear it’s always packed …

Well take care man and good luck with the fresh start !!

Thanks

And thank you for the suggestions. I would have never thought about the Noodle on game day, despite its proximity to the Lube. I hope you make it back safe, it would be nice to have another servicemember to watch a game with(or veteran in my case).
