You guys are gonna hate Peter King today...
Let's try to keep the 'he's a dumbass', 'he's a moron', etc... to a minimum, okay, guys? I agree with all of it, but we should cut him some slack occassionally, expecially on the random chance his opinion happens to coincide with ours.

I still don't feel that Manning will win it. I think the last thing in voter's minds will be Pennington beating the Jets and Peterson tossing the ball before he crossed the goal line (did he really do this? PFT said he did, but I didn't see the play). Can't wait to see the discussion about this weeks Indy @ SD game. My prediction? Monday we'll hear that the Colts are dangerous. From Tuesday till Friday it will quickly transition to, 'The Colts don't play well against the chargers. The chargers are hot. The chargers are great. The Chargers are GODS AMONG MEN. PHILIP RIVERS CAN IMPREGNATE YOU FROM 100 YARDS AWAY. LADANIAN TOMLINSON IS BACK! CHRIS CHAMBERS IS FAT. (I wish i could make my font bigger)." ANyhow, by saturday afternoon, the Colts will be 15 point dogs and the sky will be falling. Thankfully for Colts' fans, Atlas' knee is all healed.

Discussion about Indy @ SD
I already saw on Sportscenter this morning with one of the topics on the rundown section say “LT is Back” . Right now a lot people are saying that Indy is the favorite, but they’ll probably change their minds by Saturday and pick the Bolts. Interesting Development: LT probably strained his groin and will have a MRI today. If he has another injury (don’t forget the toe injury from last season), that might slow him down on Saturday (got those fingers crossed); especially since he looked like the LT of old, and not old LT last night.
I'm not joking, but..
from a Colts perspective, I’d rather they faced a healthy LT as opposed to 90% of the touches going to Darren Sproles. If you remember, during this ‘1-3 stretch’ that you will be told about 50 times an hour, tomlinson has rarely hurt the Colts. It was usually Turner and now Sproles.
Did some research
and you’re right. LT hasn’t been a threat to the colts in the last five games between the two even though the Chargers are 3-2 over that span of games. LT has average 18. 8 carries, 41.4 yards pg, 3.74 yds per carry, 0.4 TDs, with 14.4 yds being his longest average run in those five games. So I’ll go back on what I said wish LT gets WAY more carries tha the Sproles kid this Saturday.
Wow
What a description of Manning’s private saga during pre-season. I remember posting in the early games my suspicions of his injuries, but would not have imagined what they described. What a testament to his drive and ability. C’mon HORSE… beat the charge-its!
Hmm, is that a bit of Greek Mythology thrown in there? I like it.
I never heard about Peterson tossing the ball before reaching the goal line, but I know DeSean Jackson and Asante Samuels of the Eagles both did it earlier this season.

I didn’t see Peterson’s touchdown, but profootballtalk.com (known for always being correct… :P) said that he tossed the ball early yesterday and that they were surprised Coughlin didn’t challenge. I don’t know if this is accurate or not, and I know I’ll never see a replay of it because that might mean besmirching the good name of Adrian peterson.
You Tube
If it happened, it’s bound to show up.

this is the only one on youtube atm
bad angle, you can tell he tosses it early, but you honeslty cant tell anything from the angle.
I don't think it's clear
It’s close. As I said below, it’s an angle issue. Would be nice to have a goal line camera view.
well
I hit pause as soon as he let go of the ball and his feet are at the 1.5 yard line, unless he was holding the ball 4 and a half feet away from him, its clear :P
I remember that game.
He was short.

Still don't think it's clear
I just did the same thing. As near as I can tell, his right foot was about 1/2 yard from the goal line when the ball left his hand. At the least, I think it’s inconclusive enough that a challenge would not have succeeded.
okay...
I dunno what size monitors/reso you use, but it seems pretty clear to me:

Anyhow, it was an HD game and it was for a playoff spot, even if you think its ‘not conclusive from that angle’ (While there are a ton of people that think it is) its definitely close enough in your mind to call for a review, right?
I saw the game
and that’s the first thing I thought when I saw that play (that he had tossed the ball a little too early). But the announcers didn’t say a word about it even during about 4 or 5 replays, so I figured the camera angle was just deceiving.
