The Mangini firing is the one linked to the title because it is a bit surprising. The Jets were 9-7 after going 4-12 last year. Crennel and Marinelli getting fired are not surprising.

Wow.

That was quick.

I figured Crennel and Marinelli, but Mangini is surprising. Hopefully Brett will finally retire now.

Retire Brett

so Peyton can know how many seasons it’ll take him to break all the significant all-time records for a quarterback (Except for interceptions, you can keep that one, Brett).

Marinelli

Anybody else kind of hope that Polian and Caldwell try to get him to come work on our defense?

Underrated

He’s better than the Lions’ 0-16 record indicates. He’ll find work in the NFL, might even get another head coach job one day.

yea

If anyone sat down and seriously looked at the Lions, would anyone say they are the worst team in the league? They just got unlucky to 1) Never play the Browns, Chiefs, Bengals (earlier in the year), or Rams and 2) Down the home stretch they played like 4 games in a row against teams that needed to win to stay in the playoff race and after that they were 0-15 and the packers didn’t want to be “The one”.

I could see the Lions beating the browns easily, the rams closely, the chiefs in a shootout, and probably losing to the bengals, whose defense seems to have improved and cedric benson seems to actually be able to run the ball now.
