Week 14 Power Rankings
What If Sports ranks us 10th (+1)
NFL.com ranks us 7th (nc): That was too close a call at Cleveland, but once again, the Colts showed the grit to come out on top.
Yahoo Sports has us in 7th (+2): When all is said and done, will this be among the finest single-season coaching efforts of Tony Dungy’s stellar career? Huh?
Fox Sports ranks us 9th (nc): The Colts continue to find ways to win the close games, which will make them a tough out in January -- especially with Peyton Manning playing clutch football at the end of games.
ProFootball Weekly has us in 9th (-1): These close wins should serve them well down home stretch.
Sporting News keeps us in 3rd (nc): The Greatest Game Ever Played. The Brothers Manning. The last two Super Bowl champions, along with the last two Super Bowl MVPs. Tony Dungy going back to Tampa for the title. The Colts are the hottest team in the AFC, and with their experience and ability to win games in many ways, they would be a very intriguing opponent for the Giants.
ESPN keeps us in 6th (nc): The Colts found a way to win on an ugly day for the offense. The Colts are going to win at least 11 games.
Don Banks @ SI drops us to 6th (-2): The Colts merely showed up in Cleveland and still won, but that looked suspiciously like the grasping-on-offense Indy of Weeks 1-8 to be quite honest. But no matter, it's five in a row on their way to nine in a row to end the season.
Peter King @ SI ranks us 5th (+1): They've won one game this year by more than six points. I admire their pluck. Pluck? I'll let that one go since he's on Peyton's bandwagon - for now.
Associated Content has us ranked at 8th (+2): The Colts are for real again, and demonstrated that with their 5th consecutive win over Cleveland. It took some end-of-the-game defensive stops, but they proved that they could play hard when it mattered most. They host Cincinnati this weekend.
CHFF ranks us 4th (+2): Last week: The Colts defense picked up the slack for an unproductive offense, registering three sacks, two takeaways and a touchdown in a 10-6 victory at Cleveland. Cold, Hard Football Facts: Of Indy’s eight wins this season, only one has been by more than six points. Week 14 matchup: vs. Cincinnati. The Cold, Hard Football Fact listed above is about to change.
Way to go Mathis!!
GO COLTS!!!!
