Wildcard Standings
With the Ravens win, only four teams are still alive in the WC hunt. A win for Indy plus losses for two of NE, MIA, NYJ clinches a playoff spot for the Colts.
| Team | Record | Conf Rec |
| Colts | 9-4 | 8-2 |
| Ravens | 9-4 | 7-3 |
| Dolphins* | 8-5 | 6-4 |
| Patriots* | 8-5 | 5-5 |
*=Dolphins lead by conference record tiebreaker. Head to head tied (1-1), division record tied (3-2), common opponents tied (5-1).

actually I'm not sure that works
the idea on 2 of them losing next week is that the one that won would be on top of the division so then out of competition for the wildcard. Not sure if that still works when the loss comes week 17.

nope, you are right
closest call would be both Jets and FIns win the next two then the winner of their game week 17 would win the division at 11-5, loser would be 10-6 and 7-5 in conference, behind the Colts on tiebreakers as long as they win one more game.

Another interesting scenario
Both Jets and Miami lose 1 of their remaining 3 games and end up 10-6, Pats win out at 11-5, thus taking the AFC East. We’re seeded 4th for playoffs. DW4 hosts WC1 in the first round. Welcome to Foxboro, MA guys!!

the nfl needs nba type rules
in the nba if you have a better record, you still get home court advantage against a higher seeded team…
kind of ridiculous that we will have to travel to NE, NYJ, Mia or Den, even though we will probably be 12-4…
Fair point
Lot of importance placed on divisional championships in the NFL
