Colts clinch wildcard with:
1 Colts win + 1 Pats loss
or
1 Colts win + 2 Ravens losses
or
2 Colts wins
or

Thanks to psvirsky for pointing out the week 17 Fins-Jets matchup that allows the easier clinch.

We need this game
With Tedy Bruschi back in Boston and rumored to be put out to pasture going on IR because of his knee injury, we need to be playing the Raiders Sunday. (Actually we need to be playing Detroit since they’re a lot less physical and we’re running out of defensive players, but it’s not on the schedule.)

lol we get Detriot
and don’t even have to face a formerly good QB since Culpepper got his shoulder shredded in the final seconds of Sunday’s game.

Culpepper
Results of MRI? Have you heard? I’d rather not have him play….

not sure
I saw it live though. Ugly, he went to throw a bomb and the D lineman when for the strip sack. He was trying to throw as hard as he could while his arm got pulled backwards.

Adam Schefter
was even suggesting that it would be better for the Lions to forfeit against the Colts and spend two weeks game-planning for their next opponent. Supposedly this would offer them a better chance of avoiding the 0-16 fate that’s surely awaiting them at the moment.
So if Culpepper is out, who’s the QB? Isn’t Stanton injured? Does it even matter to the Colts game-planning? Probably not, lol.

Egad
That’s really sad/bad. I hate to see a team that is so so bad. Perhaps this is my matronly side so King Richard can take his shot at me, but I really feel sorry for the Lions. Don’t get me wrong – I don’t feel sorry enough for them that I would be ok with them beating the Colts, but I thought this was what the salary cap was supposed to help avoid.
And of course there would be no end to the media BS about how we didn’t actually win out. CIRCUS!

I heard (emphasis on the word "heard")
That the owner is in the middle of an ugly divorce, so he’s trading players to raise capital…
It is all heresay, of course, but I trust my source.
