Linebackers?
With a 35-3 score it is probably hard to say that anyone on the team didn't step up, but I'm wondering how the linebackers played (I missed the damn game!). How did Buster Davis look? I know Benson looked like a real running back, which is disturbing.
Damn it's good to have K. Hayden back in the line up.

Linebackers
I thought that Keiaho and Sessions played quite well, Davis on the other hand seemed to be a step slow (maybe he was thinking too much). I remember one play in particular, TJ or Ocho Cinco grab the ball went to turn up field and Davis whiffed on the tackle essentially did a belly flop. Good thing other colts where there to clean up.
On a side note, good to see Wheeler get some playing time late in the game. On that last series he had a couple of good tackles, seemed to be able to get off blocks well (one he did not) and work thru the garbage.
I think this game proved a good point, that Gary Brackett is a very good MLB!
I don’t understand why everyone is making such a big deal about Benson rushing for 56 yards. The Colts have given up many more yards to much worse runningbacks before.
As for the linebackers, I think Davis did a very solid job. I think with more playing time he’ll develop into a great linebacker for the Colts. He may have wiffed on a tackle or two, but you can’t say he wasn’t in position to make the tackle at least, so that’s definitely a positive.
Clarification
In my post I wasn’t trying to make a big deal of Benson getting as much as 56 yards, I was trying concerned that Addai and Rhodes combined couldn’t outgain him.
Disagree
I think he had a poor showing, it looked not so bad cause Keiaho and Sessions played very well. The NFL game is about making the tackle not just being in position to make it. I do agree with time he may very well develop into a very good MLB, but in this game he wasn’t very solid.

Linebackers
I have mixed reviews on Davis performance…I will say this…he is a really really REALLY big dude. In fact I think he is a little to big for the position….there is no way he weighs in at 240…..he is much closer to 250…I really think if he dropped a few pounds he would move a lot better…and speed equals power in terms of hitting ability (see Bob Sanders) so it would make him an even harder hitter….I do know that one of the reasons he was cut from both teams was that his conditioning seemed to be lacking…oh well one game does not make or break a player….as for Hagler he picked a great time to play like ‘Glass Joe" of Punch out fame. I mean this is a CONTRACT year….I do feel the Colts will use this opportunity to see what they have in Davis, I feel Hagler’s time here is just about over…he was a decent player too,
I'm wondering
if the Colts kept Hagler out of practice last week more so he could deal with his “domestic” issues and used the injury as a way to keep it on the down-low. The whole situation was weird. Maybe they figured it didn’t matter who they played at MLB against the Bungles.
Maybe
I think they are pretty much done with “Glass Joe” I doubt they resign him….Maybe they don’t want him to get hurt again, and be placed on IR, then they would more than likely have to pay him an injury settlement. So it’s best to keep ‘Glass Joe’ on the sideline until his contract is up, then let him walk….
injury settlements
The way I understand it Injury settlements are only used to keep a fringe player off IR and clogging the salary cap with their full salary. I think if a player is hurt all the team owes them is the rest of that years contract and an injury settlement is when the team gives them less than they are owed for the year in exchange for being allowed to release the player. The team only owes the settlement amount against the cap and the player is allowed to sign with another team once they are healthy.
