Around SBN: Tiger Woods, Tony Romo Grouped Together At Pebble Beach

How much of a fanboy am I?

I just got a new tattoo on my back, with 3 quotes from 3 different songs:

"And dad would dream of all the different ways to die, each one a little more than he could dare to try"

"New slang when you notice the stripes, the dirt in your fries."

"We are vain and we are blind, I hate people when they're not polite"

Am I too stupid, or somebody else around here also got a dumb tattoo like this one? And it's my seventh, all of them are idiotic like this...

Yes, YES, the off-season is a VERY long time...

This is a FanPost and does not necessarily reflect the views of Stampede Blue's writers or editors. It does reflect the views of this particular fan though, which is as important as the views of Stampede Blue's writers or editors.

Ok, ok.  That was pretty mean, I was just kidding.

But seriously, you should consider it.

Suicide
Can't do that. I'm still waiting for the rest of my share of girls in the world. :)

women
You ought to look into women that are pats fans, they are much hotter and smarter than their colts counterparts.

Lots of Boston
Women are fugly. Ask me about it. The only time you can date one of those is when you get really drunk at one of the many pubs that dot the Boston landscape. :D

At least you
don't have to bother taking them to a dinner and a movie.

umm
Yeah instead you need to go to a walk-in clinic for your herpes test. Sounds like a sweet trade-off.

I don't know much about Pats girls
But at Fenway there were always some VERY nice females. I met my very first girlfriend there.

Yes
I lived in Boston for quite some time (from 93 through 98). If I did care about football back then, probably I would be a Pats fan. Scary, right?

Cool
You were able to pick up a babe at fenway, female red sox fans don't have to wear as much clothing since  it's a summer sport, but trust me, underneath the winter garb that women pats fans wear, it is just as sweet. From what I've read of your posts, you seem to be a passionate fan, and there isn't  any fan more passionate than a red sox fan. I have lived and died w/ them through the years, [ mostly died until recently].

Yup
The first year I didn't almost die quite a few times because of the Red Sox was when Nomar came along. He was a terrific, very fun to watch player back then. No matter how crappy we could play from time to time, the hope was kind of back. For the better part of my life, I was just a baseball fan. So it was all about the Sox for me.

2007 was an unbelievable year for me, as the Sox won the WS, and the Colts won the SB. I guess it's one of those 'once in a lifetime' things.

And you are right, there just isn't any fan of other teams that are as passionate as a Red Sox fan. I know because I've been at fenway quite a few times, and it was always a unique experience.

Fenway
You wouldn't believe what it cost to go to a red sox game these days. I haven't been myself since the 90's. And it seems like since it is a wealthier crowd that regularly attends the games, that passion that we have known has been watered down somewhat.

Really?
Oh, that's bad. That's just bad. I hate when something like that happen. On nearly every team that begins to be really great, the first thing you notice is that the crowd loses some of that passion. That's because the team decides to cash in, and a lot of rich folks go to the games, even without knowing the difference between a GIDP and a sacrifice.

But Fenway during the 90's was something else. It is one thing I really miss.

Shocking revelation
I too am a RedSox fan. Not my first team (I am and always will be a Reds fan first), but the Sox are probably 2nd. Favorite AL team anyway.

Your right
I am shocked. It kind of reminds me of that old adage that is used in war. " The enemy of my enemies is my friend".

Yeah Red Sox are my second team too
after the Cubbies. Hating the Yankees + having a cousin from Boston = go sox

Yeah
I got some Yankee-hating going too, and I went to school in New England. So there you go.
