Eagles want Reggie Wayne; I want Megan Fox; People in Hell want ice water

Latest rumor mill from Yardbarker:

Just saw on NFL Live that the Eagles are trying to create a trade package for Reggie Wayne. They said it could include Reggie Brown, Chris Gocong and a 1st round pick. I would definitely take this with a grain of salt because of all these rumors floating around the Eagles. I think this is a ridiculous trade for both sides and just don't see it happening.
In other fantasy news, I'd like to spend 15 minutes alone with Megan Fox in a cheap motel room.
Megan, allow me to help you with that stain on your shirt. My tongue is known to remove tough wine stains.

A trade for Wayne
would warrant more than that.  How about Brown, Gocong, this year's 2nd rounder, and next year's first rounder.   I'd still rather keep Wayne....  It's a pipedream for the Iggles...

Ha
There is no deal the Iggles could put together to get Wayne that would have any effect but weakening our team.

I'd take Westbrook for him
but that's about it

The Eagles want a top WR
that doesn't act like a jackass. Reggie Wayne fits on both counts. That's all there is to it.

in slightly less ridiculous trade news
Jonathan Vilma is free to seek at trade. He's a perfect fit for a 4-3 cover two, but the need isn't there and no way the price is right for the Colts.

Three team trade
Since the Eagles are shopping Lito Shepard, what about trading Shepard to Jets, Vilma to Colts, and Wayne to Eagles. There would need to be other kind of compensation for Indy (draft picks), because Wayne is a top 5 WR now while Shepard is an oft-injured CB and Vilma has injury problems of his own.

I was under the impression the Jets played a 3-4.

by KingRichard on Feb 26, 2008 1:35 PM EST to parent up   0 recs

They do...
And Vilma doesn't match their defense. However, Vilma would play weak side LB in our system and Keiaho and Clint Session are very good IMO. Thus we don't need Vilma.

by MasterRWayne on Feb 26, 2008 1:42 PM EST   0 recs

so...
By in theory, I was right...sorta.

by KingRichard on Feb 26, 2008 2:45 PM EST to parent up   0 recs

meh
I'd keep Wayne over getting Vilma and picks.  I am confident that Keiaho and Hagler are going to bust out next year.

Wayne
The Colts dabble in free agency so little, guys like Vilma and Sheppard are useless. We don't need a washed up corner or linebacker. Ideally, you'd get multiple first round picks. The Eagles NEED a #1 WR. The last time they had one, they went to the Super Bowl. The fact is they can't come up with a package for him that wouldn't cripple the franchise.

In other news, I've heard that not only is Randy Moss not going back to New England, he's not even staying in the AFC. Rumor has it that Randy Moss is headed to Dallas, as Jerry Jones continues to attempt to create the first real fantasy team. This comes from a reasonably credible source.

Anyone else hear that? Its the sound of New Englands window slamming shut. Unless they decide to offer another fourth round pick to the Redskins for Santana Moss or something. At this point, I don't even know anymore.

dude
That'd be hilariously awesome.

by KingRichard on Feb 26, 2008 5:46 PM EST to parent up   0 recs

That Would Be Awesome
The cops in Dallas wouldn't take getting hit by a car.  The Texas Rangers (people not the baseball team with terrible pitching) would make sure that crime would be his last.

Seriously though, if Moss and Samuel leave, then the Patriots are royally screwed and the Bills look a whole lot better.  I don't fear Wes Welker if there isn't a Donte Stallworth or Randy Moss distracting the safeties.  The Patriots are losing everyone.

The Only Guy...
They cut the only guy I liked from their team.  Wasn't he an Indiana "Mr. Football" a few years back?

i think he was
he also went to broad ripple high school.  he's on plaques in the school.

I think it's hilarious he got cut.  That's what you get for spiking the ball on the Colts logo!

That sounds pretty crazy maybe you should link your source.

My source?
Charles Davis. Can't really link to that. But you can watch it on NFL Network.

Thanks.
I just get sick of people stating they have a source on blogs and then it pretty much just turns out they dreamed some crap up on their own and said they had a source to make it sound real.

Either way I hope he doesn't go to Dallas either.  I dislike the Cowboys even more than the Patriots.  Maybe Green Bay will realize their mistake last year and pay up for him now.

Hate to do it when we've got a nice round

Pot
So, considering the circumstances, what are the odds of catching an NFL running back at a Lil Wayne concert with marijuana? 1000:1? 10000:1? 100000:1? More importantly, what are the odds of not catching anyone else there with pot first? A billion to one?

This whole story is ridiculous. He had four joints. I'm not even sure you can get high on four joints.

You can get pretty blazed off 4.

by KingRichard on Feb 27, 2008 1:02 AM EST to parent up   0 recs

If you checked an NFL runningback
at a Lil Wayne concert I think there's a very good chance you'd find marijuana on him, just look at how Lil Wayne rolls:

"His tour bus was stopped by Border Patrol agents near Yuma, Arizona. Lil Wayne had a .44 caliber pistol. A K-9 Unit recovered 105 grams of marijuana (3.7 ounces), almost 29 grams of cocaine (1.02 ounces), 41 grams of Ecstasy (1.05 ounces) and $22,000 dollars in cash"

I mostly brought up the story because I'm a big fan of one of the two things Kevin Faulk likes.

These Were Ganja Cigars
Sounds a little bigger than the normal blunt.  I bet he got pretty high off of them.  This also probably wasn't his first time.  I bet he's been dancing with Mary Jane for a long time.  I heard the second the news of his citation were released, he was offered a max contract from the Pacers.

Monkey....
While I'm opposed to the whole criminalization thing, having pot is having pot.  That's like saying, "he only raped her a little bit."  It's called rule of law, putting things up for interpretation is called the rule of men (i.e. Soviet Union).  And yes, you can get very high on four joints.  Especially the kind of joints NFL money gets you.

/never smoked pot
/had lots of pot smoking friends in High School
/been reading too much KSK comments lately
